Managing the Custom Post Types<\/strong> with the JetEngine <\/em>WordPress plugin is handy. However, you will need an archive template to show the resulting grid. This tutorial will focus on creating an archive template for CPTs <\/strong>using the WordPress JetThemeCore <\/em>plugin and page builders, such as Elementor and Gutenberg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Creating an Archive Template<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Navigate to WordPress Dashboard > Crocoblock > Theme Builder<\/em><\/strong>, scroll down to the \u201cAll Archives<\/strong>\u201d (\u201cJobs (Vacancies) CPT\u201d in this tutorial), and click the plus-shaped icon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the newly opened pop-up, the template conditions should be set up.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pick the \u201cInclude\u201d option in the first drop-down, then move to the second, where the \u201cArchive\u201d option should be selected. In the next dropdown, select the \u201cAll CPT Name Archives\u201d (for this case, it is \u201cAll Jobs (Vacancies) Archives\u201d).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Click the \u201cCreate<\/strong>\u201d button. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are redirected to the page with the newly created template. Type the name for the template.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then click the \u201c+<\/strong>\u201d icon next to the \u201cOverwrite theme body<\/strong>\u201d input and select the \u201cCreate Template\u201d option. Set Up an Archive Template in Elementor<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Once you have clicked the \u201cCreate Template\u201d option, a new pop-up will appear. Choose the \u201cElementor\u201d option for the Template content type<\/strong>, and enter the Template name<\/strong>. Then, click the \u201cCreate<\/strong>\u201d button.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After that, you get the Template created<\/strong> pop-up, where you can choose to set it up now or later. In this case, we click the \u201cGo to editor<\/strong>\u201d button.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the template editor, add the Listing Grid<\/strong><\/a> widget, customize it, and create a layout and design that suits your needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Use as Archive Template<\/strong> toggle in the Listing Grid<\/strong> allows you to pull the number of posts to be displayed on the archive page from the default query. Enable this option to exclude the Listing Grid <\/strong>query settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Otherwise, you can set up a custom query in the Query Builder<\/strong><\/a> and apply it in the Custom Query<\/strong> tab.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When you choose the \u201cCreate Template\u201d option, a new pop-up will appear. Select the \u201cBlock Editor\u201d option for the Template Content Type<\/strong>, and type in the Template Name<\/strong>. Click the \u201cCreate<\/strong>\u201d button.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Template created<\/strong> pop-up, click the \u201cGo to editor<\/strong>\u201d button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now, on the template-editing page, add the Listing Grid<\/strong><\/a> block. Select the required Listing Template<\/strong><\/a> and configure the block settings as needed.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can synchronize the number of posts on your archive page with the default query by turning on the Use as Archive Template <\/strong>toggle within the Listing Grid<\/strong>. It ensures that the Listing Grid<\/strong>‘s specific query settings are ignored.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
