With JetSmartFilters<\/em>, you can display the data from the \u201cSelect\u201d meta field type in the \u201cSelect\u201d filter<\/a>. We are going to show how it works in the example of filtering events by the number of people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Create a Filter<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Go to WordPress Dashboard ><\/em><\/strong> Smart Filters > Add New <\/em><\/strong>to build a new filter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Set the Filter Name<\/strong>; in our case, it\u2019s the \u201cNumber of People Filter.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the following Filter Type <\/strong>field, pick the \u201cSelect\u201d option and set its Data Source <\/strong>to \u201cManual Input.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Press the \u201cAdd New<\/strong>\u201d button in the Options List <\/strong>section to add some options to the filter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two setting fields are presented for an item: the Label <\/strong>and the Value <\/strong>(which should repeat the Option Value <\/strong>of the meta field option).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each time you want to add a new option, press the \u201cAdd New<\/strong>\u201d button. Complete the needed fields for each new option you add.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fill in the Query Variable <\/strong>field with the Name\/ID <\/strong>of the \u201cSelect\u201d meta field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then, complete the Filter Labels <\/strong>section and push the \u201cUpdate<\/strong>\u201d button to save the filter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Place Filter on the Page<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Go to the editor of the page on which you want to place the filter. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The page can be edited with Elementor, Gutenberg, or Bricks editors. For instance, we work with Elementor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We want to filter the events listing so there is a Listing Grid <\/strong>widget<\/a> located on the page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also, we add the Select Filter <\/strong>widget above the Listing Grid<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Select filter <\/strong>field, <\/strong>search for the filter you have just created.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then, pick a provider in the This filter for <\/strong>field. In our case, the \u201cJetEngine\u201d option should be selected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Customize the page and save it by pressing the \u201cPublish\/Update<\/strong>\u201d button.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

In the appeared filter, select one of the options. As you can observe, the listing is now filtered, and only the items that have the certain option selected are displayed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
