Things to know<\/div>

All actions related to apartment units are available not separately but as part of Custom Post Types (CPT)<\/strong> <\/a> posts, including booking, WooCommerce<\/i> <\/a> booking products, booking forms, and placed orders.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The JetBooking<\/em> plugin offers two booking modes: “Plain” and “WooCommerce-based.” These modes allow you to enter apartment unit data in CPT<\/strong> posts and as WooCommerce<\/em> products, respectively. Furthermore, these data can be displayed on the front end, and users can select the needed unit via booking forms or without forms. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Insert and Edit Units via the WordPress Dashboards <\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To enter the apartment units, install and activate the corresponding additional plugins: the JetEngine<\/em><\/a> plugin to save data in CPT<\/strong> posts and the WooCommerce<\/em><\/a> plugin to save data as WooCommerce<\/em> products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Configure units in CPT posts<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

To specify apartment unit options, first, set the \u201cPlain\u201d Booking mode<\/strong> in the WordPress Dashboard ><\/em><\/strong> Bookings > Settings > <\/em><\/strong>General<\/em><\/strong><\/a> tab. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Select the Custom Post Type (CPT) <\/strong>that will be used for recording and storing the booking orders in the Booking orders post type<\/strong> field (\u201cAd_orders\u201d, in this tutorial) and the CPT <\/strong>that will be used as booking instances in the Booking instance post type<\/strong> field (“Apartment”, in this case), respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Second, to allow change booking status from the “On hold” default status, move to the Advanced<\/strong> tab and enable the Automatically switch bookings statuses <\/strong>toggle to automatically change the “on hold” status of the unpaid orders. Here, we select the “Once Daily (1 day)” Switch interval<\/strong> to change the default “On hold” Target Status(es)<\/strong> to the “Cancelled” New Status<\/strong>. Therefore, if users do not pay for the order within a day, it will be canceled automatically, and the date will become available for another booking by another user.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The settings will be saved automatically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, head to WordPress Dashboard > JetEngine > Post Types<\/em><\/strong>. Press the “Add New<\/strong>” button on the Custom Post Types List<\/strong> page to create a new post type (the “Apartment”, in this case).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Scroll down to the Units manager<\/strong> section and click the “Manage Units<\/strong>” button to add the unit\u2019s data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After that, the Available Units<\/strong> block will be unrolled. To create a new unit, click the “Add Units<\/strong>” button. Fill out the “Number<\/strong>” and “Title<\/strong>” fields.\u00a0 If the Title<\/strong> field is empty, the room’s title will be used.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After that, click the “Add Units<\/strong>” button, and the units will appear in the Available Units<\/strong> list. The created unit will appear in the list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here, you can change the name of the unit or delete it all by clicking the corresponding option next to it (“Edit<\/strong>” or “Delete<\/strong>” action).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After entering data into the CPT posts, adjust the JetFormBuilder<\/i> form's settings to allow users to select the needed units on the front end. In particular, configure the \"Apartment Booking\" Post Submit Action<\/strong> <\/a>. Configure units in WooCommerce products<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

First, navigate to WordPress Dashboard > Bookings > Settings<\/em><\/strong>. Unroll the Booking mode<\/strong> drop-down menu of the General<\/strong><\/a> tab and select the “WooCommerce based” option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next, create a WooCommerce<\/em> product by navigating to the WordPress Dashboard > Products > Add New<\/em><\/strong> path and changing the default “Simple product” to the “JetBooking” option in the Product data<\/strong> drop-down list. Then, tick the Unit Selection<\/strong> or Allows the user to select the number of units to book<\/strong> checkbox fields depending on your intention to allow users to choose the needed unit from the drop-down list or to select the required number of available units, correspondingly.<\/p>\n\n\n

The Unit Selection<\/strong> control allows selection of the needed unit from the list of all units. Unlike enabling this control, the Allows the user to select the number of units to book<\/strong> checkbox field allows setting the number of needed units. Enabling the Unit Selection<\/strong> and Allows the user to select the number of units to book<\/strong> checkbox fields simultaneously disables the possibility to select the needed units on the front end.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Finally, proceed to the Units manager<\/strong> section, press the “Manage Units<\/strong>” button, and add the units for the apartment. Fill out the required fields and publish the product.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Manage Units via the JetBooking Dashboard<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Navigate to the WordPress Dashboard > Bookings > Bookings<\/em><\/strong> path, where all orders are displayed. Here, all orders have the “On hold” status, but this will be changed to the required status after the interval set in the Advanced<\/strong> tab has passed.<\/p>\n\n\n

To edit the booking record via the Booking<\/strong> dashboard (e.g., to change its status), click the “Edit<\/strong>” button. The pop-up allows you to change the Status<\/strong>, Booking Item<\/strong>, Check-In<\/strong>, and Check-Out<\/strong> dates and Time range<\/strong> (if set), choose the Guests<\/strong>, select the Booking Services<\/strong>, and enter the email. Additionally, you can choose an alternative booking unit from the Booking Units<\/strong> drop-down list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
