Listing can be created in a few clicks with the dynamic widgets which are able to display types of information: posts, pages, products, and users. Feel free to go through the information about listings with the <a href=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/articles\/jetengine-listing-functionality-how-to-create-a-new-listing-to-apply-for-the-certain-post-type\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Posts<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/articles\/creating-a-listing-template-for-the-terms-from-custom-taxonomy-with-jetengine\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Terms<\/a> source types and their displaying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And now let\u2019s proceed to the step-by-step guidance on how to create a listing for the <strong>Users<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"title1\">Backend Preparations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"adding-new-users\">Adding new users<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>First of all, proceed to your WordPress Dashboard and open <strong><em>Users &gt; Add New<\/em><\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/add-new-user-2x.png\" alt=\"adding a new user\">\n\n\n\n<p>Set the needed default parameters: as the <strong>Username, Email, First<\/strong> and <strong>Last Name<\/strong>, <strong>website<\/strong>, and other information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Note down, that the <strong>Username<\/strong> can\u2019t be changed during the further transformations of the personal data and will be shown in the backend only.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"applying-meta-fields-for-users\">Applying meta fields for users<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, go to the <strong><em>JetEngine &gt; Meta Boxes<\/em><\/strong> and hit the &#8220;<strong>Add New<\/strong>&#8221; button. Set the <strong>Meta Box Title<\/strong> and select the &#8220;User&#8221; value in <strong>Meta Box for<\/strong> field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/user-metabox-2x.png\" alt=\"adding users meta box\">\n\n\n\n<p>Next, you need to choose the value from the <strong>Visible at<\/strong> drop-down list. This option determines who will be able to see and edit the created meta fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>If the <strong>Edit User<\/strong> option is selected, then the meta box will be visible for the admin only;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If the <strong>Edit User &amp; Profile<\/strong> option is chosen, then the meta box will be visible for both admin and users and the last ones will be able to change the content by themselves.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>After these basic settings for the <strong>Meta Box<\/strong> are done, let\u2019s proceed to the meta fields adding. Read the <a href=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/articles\/how-to-create-a-custom-meta-field-with-jetengine-custom-meta-field-types-overview\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">tutorial<\/a> if you don&#8217;t know how to add meta fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"filling-meta-fields-for-users-with-value\">Filling meta fields for users with value<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Go to the <strong><em>Users &gt; All Users<\/em><\/strong> and click the &#8220;<strong>Edit<\/strong>&#8221; button under each title. Among the other default settings at the bottom of the page, you will see the meta fields you created previously. Fill in the fields with the appropriate information and click the &#8220;<strong>Update Profile<\/strong>&#8221; button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/users-meta-2x.png\" alt=\"users meta\">\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"title2\">Creating Listing for Users<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"creating-listing-to-showcase-information-of-users\">Creating listing to showcase information of users<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Proceed to <strong><em>WordPress Dashboard &gt; JetEngine &gt; Listings<\/em><\/strong> and click the &#8220;<strong>Add New<\/strong>&#8221; button. Select the &#8220;Users&#8221; option in the <strong>Listing source<\/strong> field. Enter the specific name and choose the &#8220;Elementor&#8221; option in the <strong>Listing View<\/strong> field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/adding-users-listing-2x.png\" alt=\"adding new listing\">\n\n\n\n<p>To fill the Listing, you should use the Dynamic widgets. Choose the <strong>Dynamic Field<\/strong> widget and the &#8220;Post\/Term\/User Data&#8221; option in the <strong>Source<\/strong> field. In the <strong>Object Field<\/strong>, you will be able to choose among several items. With the <strong>Post\/Term\/User Data<\/strong> source type, you will be able to display all the default information which is added to each user.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>ID<\/strong> will display the numeric value of the user\u2019s id, which you can get while hovering over the login value on the WordPress Dashboard.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Login<\/strong> will show the name either which is set when WordPress has been installed creating. Login helps the user to go into the website Dashboard.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Nickname<\/strong> will showcase that name which is set as a nickname in the users\u2019 settings.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Email<\/strong> field will output the value from the so-named field in the user\u2019s settings.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>URL<\/strong> object field will display the website address you have entered in the corresponding field in the WP Dashboard.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Registration Date<\/strong> option will display the date when the user has been added to the database. This value you can\u2019t change as it is recorded automatically.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Display Name<\/strong> option must show the name you have applied from several ones for the choice. So the name will be a little customized and differ from the nickname. It is the default option in User settings, either.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/users-data-2x.png\" alt=\"users data\">\n\n\n\n<p>What about the default avatar, you can display it with the <strong>Dynamic Image<\/strong> widget if you choose the <strong>User Avatar<\/strong> option in the <strong>Source<\/strong> field. Then, you will have the slider to specify the exact image size. Also, you can set the fallback image, which will be shown if the avatar is empty or even doesn\u2019t exist at all. But if you enable the option which is called Hide if the value is empty, it will not be displayed, and the fallback option will be unavailable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you want to display the image from the <strong>Meta Field<\/strong>, choose its specific name of it in the <strong>Source<\/strong> field and customize up to your needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also, you can make the picture clickable by enabling the corresponding option. To do it, drag-n-drop this widget to the page and choose the name of the listing you need to display.
