However, <strong>Query Builder<\/strong> provides a much more flexible tool for listing creation. Its \u201cTerms Query\u201d type allows one to choose precisely the terms or taxonomies required to add to the list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For instance, one can display <a href=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/articles\/posting-users-recent-comments-on-the-users-account-page\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">related terms attached to the WordPress users<\/a> using the <em>JetEngine<\/em> <strong>Query Builder<\/strong> functionality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"general\">General<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container\">\n<p>Here, one can adjust the general query options:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/terms-query-general.webp\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"640\" src=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/terms-query-general-1024x640.webp\" alt=\"terms query general tab\" class=\"wp-image-48705\" srcset=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/terms-query-general-1024x640.webp 1024w, https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/terms-query-general-300x188.webp 300w, https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/terms-query-general-768x480.webp 768w, https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/terms-query-general-1536x960.webp 1536w, https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/terms-query-general-600x375.webp 600w, https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/terms-query-general.webp 1824w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Taxonomy<\/strong> \u2014 this drop-down menu lists all the website taxonomies, both default and created with the <em>JetEngine<\/em> plugin;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Object\/Post ID<\/strong> \u2014 if one types in the ID of posts, users, or other objects here, only the terms linked to those objects will appear on the list;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Order By<\/strong> \u2014 this drop-down menu allows choosing a parameter to sort out the terms:\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Name<\/strong> \u2014 by the first letters of the term\u2019s title;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Slug<\/strong> \u2014 by the first letters of the term\u2019s slug;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Term Group<\/strong> \u2014 by the number of groups determined in the database;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Term ID<\/strong> \u2014 by the digits of the term\u2019s ID;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Description<\/strong> \u2014 by the first letters of the description\u2019s first word;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Parent<\/strong> \u2014 by the first letters of the parent\u2019s name;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Term Order<\/strong> \u2014 by the order in which the terms appear in the taxonomy tab of the dashboard;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>By the number of objects associated with the term;<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Match the order of the \u201cInclude\u201d param<\/strong> \u2014 by the order that one sets when adding IDs to the <strong>Include<\/strong> bar of the <strong>Include\/Exclude<\/strong> tab;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Match the order of the \u201cSlug\u201d param<\/strong> \u2014 by the order that one sets when adding slugs to the <strong>Slug<\/strong> bar of the <strong>Include\/Exclude<\/strong> tab;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Order by meta clause<\/strong> \u2014 by the meta clause created in the <strong>Meta Query<\/strong> tab;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Order<\/strong> \u2014 it can be ascending (\u201cFrom lowest to highest values\u201d), which means from the smallest value to the biggest, or descending (\u201cFrom highest to lowest values\u201d) \u2013 from the biggest to the smallest;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Hide empty<\/strong> \u2014 if activated and if the item has no defined value, it won\u2019t show up in the grid;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Show\/Per Page Number<\/strong> \u2014 here, one can define how many terms will be shown in the grid simultaneously by typing in the number. If one uses the <strong>Pagination<\/strong> widget or block of the <a href=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/plugins\/jetsmartfilters\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>JetSmartFilters<\/em><\/a> plugin, this will be the number of terms shown per page;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Total Query Number<\/strong> \u2014 the number one put here will be visible if the <a href=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/features\/dynamic-tags-overview\/#query-results-count-dynamic-tag\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u201cQuery Results Count\u201d<\/a> dynamic tag is used on the page. If one types \u201c0\u201d here, all parent categories without their child terms will be attached;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Childless<\/strong> \u2014 if enabled, only the taxonomies that don\u2019t have child terms will appear on the list.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"meta-query\">Meta Query<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container\">\n<p>This tab allows adding terms to the list based on the values of their meta fields. One can set a value in the <strong>Value<\/strong> text area to compare it with the data from the meta field one chooses in the <strong>Field key\/name<\/strong> bar. If they match, the terms will appear on the list. If needed, the <strong>Context<\/strong> and <strong>Fallback<\/strong> (e.g., \u201cNot found\u201d) can be set in the <strong>Advanced settings<\/strong> tab;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Compare<\/strong> \u2014 to select parameters for values\u2019 comparison:\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Equal<\/strong> \u2014 displays terms having an equal value;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Not Equal<\/strong> \u2014 shows terms that don\u2019t have an equal value;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Greater than<\/strong> \u2014 indicates terms that have a greater value; it works with numeric values only;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Greater or equal<\/strong> \u2014 displays terms that have a greater or equal value. It also works only for numeric values;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Less than<\/strong> \u2014 shows terms that have a lesser value. For numeric values only;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Less or equal<\/strong> \u2014 displays terms that have a lesser or equal numeric value;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Like<\/strong> \u2014 shows terms that have the value one sets in the Value field mentioned in the content;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Not like<\/strong> \u2014 displays only the terms that don\u2019t have the value you\u2019ve put in the Value field mentioned in the content;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>In the list<\/strong> \u2014 after one adds several values to the Value field, it shows the terms that have at least one of them in their content;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Not in the list<\/strong> \u2014 displays terms that have any values except the ones typed into the Value field;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Between<\/strong> \u2014 displays terms that contain the value between the two values set in the Value field;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Not between<\/strong> \u2014 shows all the terms except the ones that have a value that matches the set interval;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Exists<\/strong> \u2014 indicates all the terms that contain the <strong>Key<\/strong>. The <strong>Value<\/strong> should not be set in this case;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Not exists<\/strong> \u2014 displays all the terms that don\u2019t include the <strong>Key<\/strong>. The <strong>Value<\/strong> should not be set either;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Regexp<\/strong> \u2014 queries the items depending on the \u201cCheckbox\u201d and \u201cRadio\u201d meta field values;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Not regexp<\/strong> \u2014 excludes mentioned \u201cCheckbox\u201d and \u201cRadio\u201d meta field values from the query;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Value<\/strong> \u2014 the value set here will be compared to the value of the meta field chosen in the <strong>Field key\/name<\/strong> bar. When the &#8220;Query Variable&#8221; option is selected, the checkbox &#8220;Exclude this clause from the query if dynamic value is empty&#8221; becomes available, allowing one to conditionally include this meta query clause only when the value is not empty, preventing empty or null values from affecting your query results. When this checkbox is activated, the <strong>Fallback<\/strong> in the <strong>Advanced Settings<\/strong> of the \u201cQuery Variable\u201d option should be left empty;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Type<\/strong> \u2014 this drop-down allows one to specify what kind of data is in the chosen meta field:\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Char<\/strong> \u2014 alphabetic data that is not case-sensitive;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Numeric<\/strong> \u2014 whole numbers only;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Date<\/strong> \u2014 date values (remember to enable the <strong>Save as timestamp<\/strong> toggle in the fields from which one gets date values);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Datetime<\/strong> \u2014 date and time (remember to activate the <strong>Save as timestamp<\/strong> toggle in the fields from which one gets date values);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Decimal<\/strong> \u2014 fraction number data;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Time<\/strong> \u2014 time values;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Binary<\/strong> \u2014 data that is case-sensitive;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Signed<\/strong> \u2014 whole numbers, both positive and negative;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Unsigned<\/strong> \u2014 whole numbers, only positive.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Clause name<\/strong> \u2014 if one gives this Meta Clause a unique name, it will appear in the <strong>Order by<\/strong> drop-down, and one will be able to use it to sort the terms.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>One can add as many <strong>Meta Clauses<\/strong> as required by clicking on the \u201c<strong>Add new<\/strong>\u201d button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Clicking the &#8220;<strong>Add new group<\/strong>&#8221; button allows one to create a nested group of conditions within the query. When clicked, it reveals a pop-up window with settings similar to those of the <strong>Meta Query Clause<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a
