When users book appointments, it would be helpful to show all appointments on the Google Calendar schedule and send them to your email address. To connect the JetAppointment <\/em>plugin to Google Calendar and Gmail, you could use Make (formerly Integromat).\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This tutorial will describe how to connect your website to the administrator\u2019s, provider\u2019s, and manager\u2019s Google Calendar and Gmail accounts. Also, you can connect JetAppointment<\/em> to users\u2019 emails with the JetFormBuilder <\/em>form field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to Connect the JetAppointment Plugin to Google Calendar<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Set up Make<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Make<\/a> is a free platform that allows connecting apps and automate workflows using a no-code visual builder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sign in or sign up to the Make platform. After getting to the My Lab<\/strong> page, go to the Scenarios<\/strong> tab in the left-side menu and click on the \u201cCreate a new scenario<\/strong>\u201d button in the upper right corner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hit the big plus <\/strong>button and choose the \u201cWebhooks<\/strong>\u201d module from the list of tools. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A webhook in web development is a method of augmenting or altering the behavior of a web page or web application with custom callbacks. You can find out more about custom webhooks in the Webhooks tutorial<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then, choose the Custom webhook <\/strong>from the list of triggers and actions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Click on the new Webhooks <\/strong>module. Hit the \u201cAdd<\/strong>\u201d and \u201cSave<\/strong>\u201d buttons to enter the name for the webhook.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After that, you will see the generated link, which you should copy to the clipboard. Then, proceed to your WordPress website without closing the Make window.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Set up the appointment form<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

If you already have such a form, edit the one you want to connect with Make. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Post Submit Actions<\/strong> block, click the \u201c+ New Action<\/strong>\u201d button and choose the \u201cCall Webhook\u201d Type<\/strong>. Then, press the pencil-shaped icon to edit the action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Paste the link to the Webhook URL<\/strong> field. Hit the \u201cUpdate<\/strong>\u201d button to save the changes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Navigate to the front-end page with that form and submit it. After that, you should see the \u201cSuccessfully determined.\u201d note in the Webhook<\/strong>. Hit the \u201cOK\u201d <\/strong>button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adding the Google Calendar module<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Click the \u201cAdd another module<\/strong>\u201d button next to the already built webhook and insert the \u201cGoogle Calendar<\/strong>\u201d module.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Choose the \u201cCreate an Event\u201d action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Click the \u201cAdd<\/strong>\u201d button near the Connection <\/strong>bar and connect Make to the Gmail account. Select your login for the Primary Calendar as the Calendar ID<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the Event Name<\/strong>, choose as many items as you want, like price, user name and surname, user email, and so on. They will appear in the Google Calendar slots as additional information about appointments. The item names correspond to the field names from the connected form via the Webhook. Drag and drop the \u201cslot\u201d item to the Start Date <\/strong>field and the \u201cslotEnd\u201d <\/strong>item to the End Date<\/strong> field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since the date and time are saved in the timestamp, they need to be parsed. Click the \u201cDate and Time<\/strong>\u201d icon and drag and drop the parseDate<\/strong> function in front of the \u201cslot\u201d and \u201cslotEnd\u201d items in the Start Date<\/strong> and End Date<\/strong> fields. Complete the dates with the ;<\/strong>, X<\/strong>, and )<\/strong> characters, where X <\/strong>is the Unix timestamp (the date format of the input). You can find other tokens for date\/time parsing in the list of \u201cTokens for date\/time parsing<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The \u201cslot\u201d and \u201c<\/strong>slotEnd\u201d <\/strong>items are suitable for appointments with specific time frames, but if you need to book an event only by days (not by hours), you need to drag and drop the \u201cdate\u201d item.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Remember to click the \u201cOK<\/strong>\u201d button when you finish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To run the activated scenario, you could set up the schedule or run the scenario once by clicking the Run once <\/strong>button. To set up a new schedule, enable the Scheduling<\/strong> toggle at the bottom left corner and push the \u201cSchedule setting<\/strong>\u201d button next to it. Initially, it is set to \u201cImmediately as data arrives.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hit the \u201cSave<\/strong>\u201d icon on the control panel at the bottom of the page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now, go to the Google Calendar service<\/a>. After you run a new scenario, the appointments will appear in the schedule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to Connect Gmail to the JetAppointment Plugin and Google Calendar<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In the Tools <\/strong>panel, click the \u201cFlow Control<\/strong>\u201d button. Drag and drop the Router<\/strong><\/a> <\/strong>module and press it to connect with the \u201cGoogle Calendar.\u201d Hit the \u201cAdd another module<\/strong>\u201d button, add the \u201cGmail\u201d module, and pick the \u201cSend an Email\u201d action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Click the \u201cAdd<\/strong>\u201d button near the Connection <\/strong>bar and connect Make <\/strong>to your Gmail account. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You also need to specify the recipient’s email address, the subject of the letter, and the content in the related fields and add the attachments. To fill the fields, select the corresponding form field ID to use the data entered by users. 
In the To <\/strong>field, you can include your admin and user\u2019s email addresses. This way, you and the user who schedules the appointment will receive booking information via email.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That\u2019s it. Your Google Calendar is now connected to the JetAppointment <\/em>plugin, allowing it to display all appointments on the schedule.
