That means there is no need to upload the information manually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"when-to-use-dynamic-tag\">When to Use Dynamic Tag<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container\">\n<p>Dynamic tags allow you to apply a dynamic value to specific arguments in an existing static block. This function is currently available for use with the following WordPress blocks \u2014 Paragraph, Heading, Buttons, and Cover.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now you can create <strong>Listings <\/strong>that meet your needs using the block editor and <a href=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/plugins\/jetengine\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">JetEngine<\/a> Dynamic Content Tags.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let\u2019s find out how to implement all the desired ideas to life. For instance, let\u2019s create a Post Listing using <strong>Dynamic Content Tags<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"customization-overview\">Customization Overview<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container\">\n<p>Open <strong><em>JetEngine &gt; Listings <\/em><\/strong>and click on the \u201c<strong>Add New<\/strong>\u201d button. Fill in all the required fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/add-new-listing-item-full.png\" alt=\"add new listing item\">\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Listing source <\/strong>\u2014 choose the source for the added listing;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>From post type <\/strong>\u2014 select a post type from which the content will be taken. It can be not only the default WordPress Posts but also <a href=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/articles\/how-to-create-a-custom-post-type-based-on-jetengine-plugin\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Custom Post Types<\/a>;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Listing item name <\/strong>\u2014 type in the name for the listing;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Listing view <\/strong>\u2014 set the \u201cBlocks<strong> <\/strong>(Gutenberg)\u201d option to work with Dynamic Content Tags supported by blocks.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Push the \u201c<strong>Create Listing Item<\/strong>\u201d button once all the fields have been completed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Primarily, let\u2019s check how <strong>Dynamic Content Tag <\/strong>works with the Cover block.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"cover-block\"><strong>Cover block<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Add the Cover block to the editor. The <strong>Dynamic Content Tag <\/strong>button will now be placed above.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hit it to see that the \u201cImage URL\u201d and \u201cImage Alt\u201d options are now available for customization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Choose \u201cImage URL\u201d for the initial editing. The first tab is called <strong>Data Source<\/strong>. In this case, there is also the <strong>Image Source <\/strong>drop-down menu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/cover-block-image-source-drop-down-full.png\" alt=\"cover block image source dropdown\">\n\n\n\n<p>Choose between all the presented sources according to your needs.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Proceed to the <strong>Data Context <\/strong>tab. It allows you to select an object from which dynamic data will be taken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/cover-block-image-url-data-context-full.png\" alt=\"cover block image url data context\">\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Current User (global)<\/strong> \u2014 the user for whom the page was added;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Current User (for current scope)<\/strong> \u2014 the user that is being proceeded;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Queried User<\/strong> \u2014 the user that is logged in or that is indicated in the URL;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Current Post Author <\/strong>\u2014 the user that is the author of the opened post.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Mind that the <strong>Data Context <\/strong>tab is accessible for all the considered blocks so that options will stay the same.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Head to the \u201cImage Alt\u201d option. The first tab is also <strong>Data Source<\/strong>, the same that we observed in the previous block. However, options are different now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/cover-block-image-alt-data-source-full.png\" alt=\"cover block image alt data source\">\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Current object property<\/strong> \u2014 depicts data that is related to the current object;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Custom data<\/strong> \u2014 displays the data called by the presented options;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Dynamic function<\/strong> \u2014 shows values calculated according to the defined function.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Let\u2019s start with the \u201cCurrent object property.\u201d Once selected, the <strong>Property <\/strong>drop-down is displayed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can use default Post, Term, User, and other available options. For instance, WooCommerce attributes if you are building a shop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/cover-block-current-object-property-data-source-full.png\" alt=\"cover block current object property data source\">\n\n\n\n<p>However, let\u2019s check the second option presented in the <strong>Source <\/strong>drop-down. <strong>Custom data <\/strong>activates the <strong>Select data to show<\/strong> drop-down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The options shown here are described in detail in the <a href=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/articles\/jetengine-macros-guide\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>macros overview<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/cover-block-custom-data-source-full.png\" alt=\"cover block custom data source\">\n\n\n\n<p>The third source is presented via the \u201cDynamic Function.\u201d The first appeared drop-down is <strong>Function<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/cover-block-image-alt-dynamic-function-source-function-full.png\" alt=\"cover block dynamic function source function\">\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Summed value <\/strong>\u2014 displays a total sum of the set meta field values;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Average value <\/strong>\u2014 depicts an average amount of all the input values;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Count <\/strong>\u2014 calculates the number of posts\/terms\/users having the field completed with data;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Maximum value <\/strong>\u2014 represents the highest value among all the options;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Minimum value <\/strong>\u2014 shows the lowest value among the options presented;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>SQL query results <\/strong>\u2014 works with SQL query and depicts its data.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The following drop-down list is <strong>Data Source<\/strong>. Choose between Post, Term, and User Meta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/cover-block-image-alt-dynamic-function-data-source-full.png\" alt=\"cover block image alt dynamic function data source\">\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Data Context <\/strong>field appears<strong> <\/strong>if the \u201cPost Meta\u201d option<strong> <\/strong>is picked. Type in the <strong>Field Name<\/strong>. This value can be represented with the meta field key completed during the meta field creation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/cover-block-image-alt-post-meta-data-source-fields-full.png\" alt=\"cover block image alt post meta data source fields\">\n\n\n\n<p>Move forward to the <strong>Data Context<\/strong> drop-down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/cover-block-image-alt-dynamic-function-data-context-full.png\" alt=\"cover block image alt dynamic function data context\">\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>All posts <\/strong>\u2014 the data will be pulled from all the posts;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Posts from current term <\/strong>\u2014 the information will be taken only from the further defined <strong>Taxonomy<\/strong>;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Posts by current user <\/strong>\u2014 the meta field values will be received from the current user posts;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Posts by queried user <\/strong>\u2014 the data will be taken from the queried user posts;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Related posts for current post<\/strong> \u2014 the values, in this case, will be pulled from the set <strong>Relation<\/strong>, the drop-down menu that is shown once the described data context is selected.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The following select field is <strong>Query by posts with status<\/strong> and depicts all the available posts statuses that can be queried.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/cover-block-image-alt-dynamic-function-data-query-by-posts-with-status-full.png\" alt=\"cover block image alt dynamic function data query by posts with status\">\n\n\n\n<p>Going to the subsequent step, you can choose <strong>Query by posts with types<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Select between the website post types. Different plugins\u2019 features and <a href=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/articles\/how-to-create-a-custom-post-type-based-on-jetengine-plugin\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Custom Post Types<\/strong><\/a><strong> <\/strong>will also be displayed in this list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/cover-block-image-alt-dynamic-function-data-context-query-by-posts-with-types-full.png\" alt=\"cover block image alt dynamic function data context query by posts with types\">\n\n\n\n<p>Once previous drop-down menu options are picked, move on to the following fields. These will not be seen if you have chosen the \u201cCount\u201d option in the <strong>Function <\/strong>select menu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/cover-block-image-alt-dynamic-function-post-meta-data-source-full.png\" alt=\"cover block image alt dynamic function post meta data source\">\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Decimals Point <\/strong>\u2014 set the mark for the decimal point;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Thousands separator <\/strong>\u2014 choose how the thousands separator will be shown;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Decimals Count <\/strong>\u2014 define how many numbers after the decimal point will be displayed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The next tab is <strong>Data Context<\/strong>. We have already reviewed the same one earlier, so let\u2019s move on to the <strong>Data Filter <\/strong>tab. It allows you to filter the dynamic data additionally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Enable the <strong>Filter output <\/strong>toggle if needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/cover-block-image-alt-data-filter-filter-output-toggle-full.png\" alt=\"cover block image alt data filter output toggle\">\n\n\n\n<p>When activated, <strong>Callback <\/strong>drop-down list appears. It\u2019s pretty similar to the ones used in the other JetEngine product, <a href=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/widgets\/dynamic-field\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Dynamic Field<\/strong><\/a>.<strong> <\/strong>You can choose between multiple options. Read more about them in the Dynamic Field-related article, where <a href=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/articles\/jetengine-dynamic-field-widget-overview-how-to-use-filter-field-output\/#title2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the same options<\/a> are described.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/cover-block-image-alt-data-filter-callback-full.png\" alt=\"cover block image alt data filter callback\">\n\n\n\n<p>Our listing will not be complete without other vital data. The next block we will add is the Heading.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"heading-block\"><strong>Heading block<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>After adding the heading block to the editor, click on the \u201c<strong>Dynamic Content Field<\/strong>\u201d<strong> <\/strong>button and select the only <strong>Content <\/strong>tab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We have already covered the displayed customizations, as they are similar to the cover block ones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/heading-content-full.png\" alt=\"heading content tab\">\n\n\n\n<p>Pick the desired options and head to the next block. Now we will explore how paragraph block cooperates with the <strong>Dynamic Content Tag.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"note-banner d-flex border-bold border-jetsmartfilters rounded overflow-hidden p-20\"><div class=\"mr-12\"><svg width=\"24\" height=\"24\" viewBox=\"0 0 24 24\" fill=\"none\" xmlns=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/2000\/svg\"><path d=\"M1 21H23L12 2L1 21ZM13 18H11V16H13V18ZM13 14H11V10H13V14Z\" fill=\"#FA5450\"\/><\/svg><\/div><div class=\"d-flex flex-column\"><div class=\"text-900 mb-12\">Warning<\/div><p class=\"m-0\">Although you may worry that instead of the picked values, you will see \u201c%%content%%,\u201d it is okay. This feature is made so as not to overload the admin panel with requests. The data will be displayed on the front end.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"paragraph-block\"><strong>Paragraph block<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>As you can see, after adding a paragraph block, the <strong>Dynamic Content Field <\/strong>options here look the same as the Heading block ones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/paragraph-content-full.png\" alt=\"paragraph content tab\">\n\n\n\n<p>Create the desirable amount of fields and choose the required values. Since we create a CPT listing in our example, the most suitable option for us now is to show the \u201cJetEngine meta field\u201d option. Feel free to use the values you need.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you want to add other static information to the block, type in the required data before\/after the \u201c%%content%%\u201d value.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After finishing all customizations, move on to the buttons block if needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"buttons-block\"><strong>Buttons block<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Add a Buttons block. When clicking on the <strong>Dynamic Content Tag <\/strong>icon, you will see <strong>Text <\/strong>and <strong>URL <\/strong>tabs. Their editing options are the same as the other values that can be shown with text.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/buttons-dynamic-content-tag-full.png\" alt=\"buttons dynamic content tag\">\n\n\n\n<p>Type in extra information before\/after the dynamic values if required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now we have covered all the blocks that support <strong>Data Content Tag<\/strong>. Click on the \u201c<strong>Publish<\/strong>\u201d button.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"checking-the-results\"><strong>Checking the Results<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container\">\n<p>As an example, we will display the created listing on the Gutenberg-edited page. Go to <strong><em>Pages &gt; Add New<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can display a listing with the <a href=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/widgets\/listing-grid\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Listing Grid<\/strong><\/a>.
