This tutorial is focused on applying one filter to multiple widgets on a page at the same time using the Additional Provider<\/strong> setting in JetSmartFilters<\/em>. In this case, we are using the JetEngine\u2019s<\/em><\/a> widgets: Listing Grid<\/strong><\/a> and Maps Listing<\/strong><\/a>. You can use any other available providers<\/a> \u2014 ensure you have them enabled in WordPress Dashboard > Smart Filters > Settings > General Settings<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this guide, we assume you know how to set up the filters and how to get the posts or products for the providers. Here we are focusing on connecting filters to providers to avoid many troubles with the filters’ work. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This setup works only when the posts displayed via two widgets on one page (i.e., Listing Grid<\/strong> and Map Listings<\/strong>) belong to one Custom Post Type<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adding Widgets to the Page<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Proceed to the page where you need the filter to work. We add widgets in three columns. In the first column, add the required filter widget (in our case, it is the Select Filter<\/strong><\/a>). In the second and third columns, add the Listing Grid<\/strong> widget and the Maps Listing<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the filter settings, select the required filter and keep it for now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the Listing Grid<\/strong>, choose the needed Listing template<\/strong><\/a>. Add other settings to make your listing appealing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Map Listing<\/strong> widget, select the needed Listing template<\/strong>. In the Address Meta Field Name<\/strong> field, enter the address\u2019s custom field<\/a> name. Adjust other desired settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Applying Filters to the Widgets<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

By default, JetSmartFilters <\/em>can work with several widgets on the page without using Query IDs<\/strong>. It is enough to set the Providers <\/strong>correctly.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Return to the filter\u2019s settings. In the This filter for<\/strong> dropdown, choose the \u201cJetEngine\u201d option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next, turn on the Additional Providers<\/strong><\/a> Enabled<\/strong> toggle. In the newly appeared popup, select the \u201cJetEngine Maps\u201d options for the Additional Provider<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
