They show the values that you place in the meta fields of the items. You can customize the look by defining the general content and style settings. Different dynamic blocks can display the data from certain meta fields. Here are the meta fields that can be shown via the <strong>Dynamic Field<\/strong> block:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Text;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Date;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Time;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Datetime;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Textarea;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>WYSIWYG;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Switcher;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Checkboxes;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Iconpicker;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Media;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Gallery;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Radio;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Number;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Colorpicker;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Posts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"title1\">General Settings Section<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container\">\n<p>To add the block to the page, click the \u201c<strong>Add Block<\/strong>\u201d button and find the <strong>Dynamic Field<\/strong> block.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/dynamic-field-block.png\" alt=\"dynamic field block\">\n\n\n\n<p>Click on it and take a look at the <strong>General <\/strong>settings menu located to the right.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/general-settings.png\" alt=\"dynamic field general settings\">\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Source<\/strong>. This is where the data will be taken from.\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Post\/Term\/User\/Object Data<\/strong> \u2013 pulls the content from the default meta fields of the post, term, user, or object. Those are fields like \u201cpost ID\u201d, \u201ccreation date\u201d, or \u201cauthor\u201d. You can choose the specific field in <strong>Object Field<\/strong> select;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Meta Data<\/strong> \u2013 takes the content from the meta field you created using the JetEngine plugin\u2019s tools. Choose a certain field in the <strong>Meta Field<\/strong> drop-down menu. You can also define it by typing its name into the <strong>Custom meta field\/repeater key <\/strong>bar;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Options<\/strong> \u2013 pulls the data from the Options Page meta field. Select the specific one in the <strong>Option <\/strong>drop-down menu;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Relation Hierarchy<\/strong> \u2013 takes the data from the meta fields of the posts that are related to the one you are working with. Choose the type of relation in the <strong>Get <\/strong>select and define the type in the drop-down list<strong> <\/strong>called <strong>From Post Type<\/strong>;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Relation Meta Data<\/strong> \u2013 takes the data from the <a href=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/articles\/jetengine-wordpress-relations-feature-settings-overview\/#metafields\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>meta fields created for relations<\/strong><\/a>. We also have a dedicated tutorial about the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/articles\/jetengine-relations-dynamic-output\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">relations dynamic output<\/a><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"title2\">Layout Settings Section<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container\">\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/layout-settings.png\" alt=\"dynamic field layout settings\">\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Expected Display<\/strong>. This feature defines the look of the text in the field. If you choose the <strong>Inline <\/strong>option, the whole text will be displayed as a single line. If you select the <strong>Multiline <\/strong>variant, the text will be shown in several lines;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Field Icon\/Image<\/strong>. Here you can add an image or SVG icon to the field. The \u201c<strong>Select Image<\/strong>\u201d button opens the Media library, so you can upload the files to it and pull them to the field afterward;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Field tag<\/strong>. You can wrap the field into an HTML tag. In this drop-down menu, you can choose that tag. You can read more about all the tags in this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.javatpoint.com\/html-tags#:~:text=HTML%20tags%20are%20like%20keywords,HTML%20tags%20are%20unclosed%20tags.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">HTML guide<\/a>;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Hide if value is empty<\/strong>. Sometimes, the meta fields of an item are left empty. If you want to hide the field in case there is no data in it, turn this toggle on;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Fallback<\/strong>. If something goes wrong with the field, the user will see a notification message. This is a bar where you define that message;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Filter field output<\/strong>. Here you can define the output of the field. You will find a more detailed description of this field below;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Customize field output<\/strong>. Enabling this toggle opens the text area where you can add a macro code that will customize the look of the field. Read more in this <a href=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/articles\/jetengine-macros-guide\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">macro code guide<\/a>.<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"title3\">Filter field output options<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container\">\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/filter-output.png\" alt=\"filter fields output\">\n\n\n\n<p>When you turn on the<strong> Filter field output toggle<\/strong>, it will open the <strong>Callback <\/strong>drop-down menu. Let\u2019s take a closer look at the options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Format date<\/strong>. Shows the date pulled from the database using <strong>Date <\/strong>or <strong>Time <\/strong>meta fields. Set the date\u2019s format in the <strong>Date Format<\/strong> bar;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Format date (localized).<\/strong> This option is the same as the previous one but shows the date that is already localized to the website\u2019s language;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Format number.<\/strong> Displays data from the <strong>Number<\/strong>-type meta field. You can define the look of the <strong>Decimal point<\/strong> and <strong>Thousands separator<\/strong> and set how many numbers will be shown after the decimal point;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Get post\/page title<\/strong>. Shows the title of the post or page provided that you have chosen the <strong>Post ID<\/strong> option in the <strong>Object Field<\/strong> select;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Get post\/page link (only URL)<\/strong>. Displays the post\u2019s URL if you have chosen one of the ID options in the <strong>Object Field<\/strong> drop-down menu;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Get post\/page link (linked title)<\/strong>. Shows the post\u2019s URL but in the form of a title with a link;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Get term link<\/strong>. Displays the term\u2019s URL if you selected the term or taxonomy ID in the <strong>Meta Field<\/strong> select;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Embed URL<\/strong>. Embeds the URL from the meta field that contains a URL. For example, it can embed a video from YouTube using its URL;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Make clickable<\/strong>. By default, a field with a URL in it is shown as plain text. This callback transforms it into a clickable link;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Embed icon from Iconpicker<\/strong>. Works with the <strong>Iconpicker<\/strong>-type field. Allows you to show the icon, not its ID;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Multiple select field values<\/strong>. Works with the <strong>Select<\/strong>-type fields. Allows you to showcase several selected options. Don\u2019t forget to specify the <strong>Delimiter<\/strong>;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Checkbox field values<\/strong>. Works with the <strong>Checkbox<\/strong>-type field. Helps you display the chosen options in a line separated by <strong>Delimiter<\/strong>;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Checked values list<\/strong>. Also works with the <strong>Checkbox<\/strong>-type meta field. Shows the chosen options as a list. Allows you to choose the number of columns and a separator between them;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Switcher field values<\/strong>. Displays the values of the <strong>Switcher<\/strong>-type meta field;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>ACF Checkbox field values<\/strong>. Allows you to display the chosen values of the <strong>Checkbox<\/strong>-type meta fields created with the ACF plugin;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Get post titles from IDs<\/strong>. Works with the <strong>Posts<\/strong>-type meta field. Displays the titles of the posts you have chosen in the field;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Related posts list<\/strong>. Also works with the <strong>Posts<\/strong>-type meta field and displays the titles of the posts in a list instead of a row;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Field values count<\/strong>. Another one for the <strong>Posts<\/strong>-type meta field. Shows the number of posts you have chosen in the field;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Get Image by ID<\/strong>. Works with the <strong>Media <\/strong>meta field. Displays the image from the Media Library instead of its ID (only if it is uploaded to the library);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Do shortcodes<\/strong>. By default, a shortcode is displayed as plain text. If you use this callback, the shortcode in the field will be processed and shown correctly;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Human readable time difference<\/strong>. Works with the <strong>Date<\/strong>-type meta fields. Shows the difference between the date you put into the meta field and the current date in the number of days;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Add paragraph tabs (wpautop)<\/strong>. Works with the <strong>Textarea<\/strong>-type meta field. Adds paragraphs to the text;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Zeroise (add leading zeroes)<\/strong>. Adds zeroes before the value of the <strong>Number<\/strong>-type meta field;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Get child element from object\/array<\/strong>. Works with the <strong>Checkbox <\/strong>and <strong>Select<\/strong>-type meta fields. It shows if the value of the option, chosen in the checkbox or select is the same as the one you will place to the <strong>Child item name<\/strong> bar. For example, if you tick the \u201c2\u201d option of the checkbox and have chosen the \u201c2\u201d option for the callback, it will display the \u201ctrue\u201d value;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Images Gallery Grid<\/strong>. Works with the <strong>Gallery<\/strong>-type meta field. This option appears in the list after you enable the <strong>Grid Gallery for Dynamic Field<\/strong> widget toggle in the <strong><em>JetEngine &gt; JetEngine Dashboard &gt; Modules<\/em><\/strong> tab;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Images Gallery Slider.<\/strong> Also works with the <strong>Gallery<\/strong> meta field. Shows the pictures added to the slider. This option appears in the list after you enable the <strong>Slider Gallery for Dynamic Field<\/strong> widget toggle in the <strong><em>JetEngine &gt; JetEngine Dashboard &gt; Modules<\/em><\/strong> tab;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>QR Code.<\/strong> Converts the value of the field to a QR code.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"title4\">Style Settings Tab<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container\">\n<p>You can customize the appearance of the Dynamic Field block content in a separate menu tab. To enter it, click the \u201c<strong>Block Style<\/strong>\u201d button.
