You\u2019ll be able to display dynamic content from the custom posts and meta fields using the <strong>Map Listing<\/strong> element in the <em>Bricks <\/em>builder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"preparations\"><strong>Preparations<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container\"><div class=\"note-banner d-flex border-bold border-jetsmartfilters rounded overflow-hidden p-20\"><div class=\"mr-12\"><svg width=\"24\" height=\"24\" viewBox=\"0 0 24 24\" fill=\"none\" xmlns=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/2000\/svg\"><path d=\"M1 21H23L12 2L1 21ZM13 18H11V16H13V18ZM13 14H11V10H13V14Z\" fill=\"#FA5450\"\/><\/svg><\/div><div class=\"d-flex flex-column\"><div class=\"text-900 mb-12\">Warning<\/div><p class=\"m-0\">Before you start, proceed to <strong><i>Bricks &gt; Settings<\/i><\/strong> and ensure that you enable the <strong>Pages<\/strong> and <strong>Listing Item<\/strong> toggle in the <strong>Post Types<\/strong> section and hit the <strong>Save Changes<\/strong> button.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/edit-listing-items-and-pages-with-bricks-2-1024x595.png\" alt=\"edit listing items and pages with bricks\">\n\n\n\n<p>To activate the <strong>Maps Listings <\/strong>module, proceed to the <a href=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/articles\/jetengine-dashboard-settings-overview\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>JetEngine Dashboard<\/strong><\/a>, enable the <strong>Maps Listings <\/strong>toggle in the <strong>Default Modules <\/strong>section, and push the <strong>\u201cSave\u201d <\/strong>button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/maps-listings-jetengine-module-2-1024x606.png\" alt=\"maps listings jetengine module\">\n\n\n\n<p>After that, proceed to the <strong>Maps Settings<\/strong> tab in the <em>JetEngine<\/em> settings dashboard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adjust available settings depending on the <a href=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/articles\/jetengine-choosing-different-map-providers-for-map-listings\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>map provider<\/strong><\/a> you want to use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/jetengine-maps-settings-2-1024x603.png\" alt=\"jetengine maps settings\">\n\n\n\n<p>As the requirements said, you needed to create a dedicated <a href=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/articles\/how-to-create-a-custom-post-type-based-on-jetengine-plugin\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>CPT<\/strong><\/a> containing the <strong>Map <\/strong>meta field. Also, you can create a <a href=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/articles\/creating-custom-taxonomy-with-jetengine\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>custom taxonomy<\/strong><\/a> or add a <a href=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/articles\/how-to-group-the-custom-meta-fields-for-the-certain-post-types-into-meta-boxes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Meta Box<\/strong><\/a><strong> <\/strong>to the WordPress posts, terms, or users with the <strong>Map <\/strong>meta field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Proceed to <strong><em>JetEngine &gt; Post Types<\/em><\/strong>, hit to edit the post type, scroll down to the <strong>Meta Fields <\/strong>tab, and add the <strong>Map <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/articles\/how-to-create-a-custom-meta-field-with-jetengine-custom-meta-field-types-overview\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>meta field<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/map-meta-field-2-1024x577.png\" alt=\"map meta field\">\n\n\n\n<p>You can set one of the three <strong>Value formats<\/strong> that will be stored in the database:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>String with location Lat and Lng separated with a comma;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Array with location Lat and Lng;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Location Address.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, there is an option to set the needed <strong>Map Height<\/strong>. The default map height is 300px.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/map-mata-field-value-format-2-1024x603.png\" alt=\"map meta field value format\">\n\n\n\n<p>When you finish editing the CPT, click the <strong>\u201cUpdate Post Type\u201d <\/strong>button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Proceed to the CPT tab on the WordPress Dashboard, create several posts, and make sure to fill the <strong>Map <\/strong>meta fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/map-meta-field-in-the-custom-post-2-1024x603.png\" alt=\"map meta field in the custom post\">\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"create-a-listing-template-for-maps\"><strong>Create a Listing Template for Maps<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container\">\n<p>Move to <strong><em>JetEngine &gt; Listings<\/em><\/strong> and click the <strong>\u201cAdd New\u201d<\/strong> button. Pick the \u201cPosts\u201d <strong>Listing source<\/strong>, the post type for the map in the <strong>From post type <\/strong>field (\u201cAds\u201d in my case), enter the <strong>Listing item name, <\/strong>and select the \u201cBricks\u201d <strong>Listing view<\/strong>. Push the <strong>\u201cCreate Listing Item\u201d <\/strong>button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/setup-map-listing-item-2-1024x605.png\" alt=\"setup map listing item\">\n\n\n\n<p>Hit the <strong>\u201c+\u201d <\/strong>button on the canvas to add a new section. Drag-n-drop the dynamic elements such as <strong>Dynamic Field<\/strong>, <strong>Dynamic Image<\/strong>, and <strong>Dynamic Link<\/strong> to arrange the future content for the map. You can find more about Listing item creation with <em>Bricks <\/em>in the <a href=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/articles\/how-to-create-listing-items-with-bricks\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>How to Create Listing Item with Bricks<\/strong><\/a><strong> <\/strong>tutorial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I used the <strong>Dynamic Image <\/strong>to show the post thumbnail, <strong>Dynamic Link <\/strong>with the \u201cPermalink\u201d <strong>Source <\/strong>so that users can proceed to the car page, and two <strong>Dynamic Field <\/strong>elements: the first to display the post title and the second to display the price from the custom meta field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also, I enabled the <strong>Customize field output <\/strong>in the second <strong>Dynamic Field<\/strong>. With this option, you can add the text before and after the value pulled from the meta field; %s stands for the value that is pulled; just add some content before and after it to add some text before and after the value.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"note-banner d-flex border-bold border-jetsmartfilters rounded overflow-hidden p-20\"><div class=\"mr-12\"><svg width=\"24\" height=\"24\" viewBox=\"0 0 24 24\" fill=\"none\" xmlns=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/2000\/svg\"><path d=\"M1 21H23L12 2L1 21ZM13 18H11V16H13V18ZM13 14H11V10H13V14Z\" fill=\"#FA5450\"\/><\/svg><\/div><div class=\"d-flex flex-column\"><div class=\"text-900 mb-12\">Warning<\/div><p class=\"m-0\">Use <strong>%1$s<\/strong> instead of <strong>%s<\/strong> to insert the same value multiple times in <strong>Field format<\/strong>.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/customize-field-output-2-1024x595.png\" alt=\"customize field output\">\n\n\n\n<p>After you finish customizing, hit the <strong>\u201cSave\u201d <\/strong>button.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"add-the-map-listing-element-to-the-page\"><strong>Add the Map Listing Element to the Page<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container\">\n<p>Move to the <strong>Pages <\/strong>tab on the WordPress Dashboard and click <strong>\u201cEdit with Bricks\u201d<\/strong> on the page you created earlier to place the dynamic map here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/edit-page-for-the-dynamic-map-with-bricks-2-1024x349.png\" alt=\"edit page for the dynamic map with bricks\">\n\n\n\n<p>Add a new <strong>Section <\/strong>and drag-n-drop the <strong>Map Listing <\/strong>element.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/map-listing-element-1.png\" alt=\"map listing element\">\n\n\n\n<p>Now, let\u2019s get through the <strong>Map Listing <\/strong>settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"general-settings\"><strong>General settings<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Listing<\/strong> \u2014 choose the Listing template you created for the map;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Address Meta Field<\/strong> \u2014 paste the name of the meta field where you insert the address into this bar;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Use Lat Lng Address Meta Field<\/strong> \u2014 in case you have a meta field where you put the address in the form of latitude and longitude, enable this toggle and afterward paste the name of the field into <strong>Lat Lng Address Meta Field<\/strong> bar;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Map Height<\/strong> \u2014 you can set the height of the map element on the page by moving the slider or typing the height into the bar;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Posts number<\/strong> \u2014 every marker on the map will be taken from one post. Here you can define how many markers to show at the same time;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Automatically detect map center<\/strong> \u2014 when this toggle is turned on, the map listing automatically defines the center regarding the placed marks and shows the map centered according to it;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Max Zoom<\/strong> \u2014 choose the default zoom of the map when it opens the first time;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Mouse Wheel Zoom <\/strong>\u2014 when this toggle is turned on, you can scale the map up and down by spinning the mouse wheel.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/map-listing-general-settings-1.png\" alt=\"map listing general settings\">\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"marker-settings\"><strong>Marker settings<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>You can place such <strong>Marker types<\/strong> on the map:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Image<\/strong>. It can be any image you upload to the Media Library;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Icon. <\/strong>You can choose the icon from the icon library;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Text<\/strong>. This option allows you to add a label to the address. In the <strong>Marker Label<\/strong> drop-down menu, you can choose where to take the text from:<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Post Title<\/strong> \u2013 the title of the CPT item;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Meta Field<\/strong> \u2013 in this case, you can choose the meta field from the <strong>Meta Field<\/strong>, select or type its name to the <strong>Or enter meta field key<\/strong> bar;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Static Text<\/strong> \u2013 all the addresses will be marked with the exact text you write to the <strong>Marker Label<\/strong> bar.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The \u201cText\u201d<strong> Marker type<\/strong> also has the <a href=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/articles\/jetengine-dynamic-field-widget-overview-how-to-use-filter-field-output\/#filter-field-output-overview\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Callback<\/strong><\/a> drop-down menu. It allows you to choose the type of data you want to display.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Dynamic Image<\/strong>. Unlike the \u201cImage\u201d <strong>Marker type<\/strong>, this one allows you to set the picture that will change according to the CPT item. Choose the meta field where you store the images in the <strong>Meta Field<\/strong> drop-down menu or type its name into the <strong>Or enter meta field key<\/strong> bar.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>You can set different markers for the items. If you enable the <strong>Use different markers by conditions <\/strong>toggle, the settings you have chosen in previous fields will be used as a default marker. Besides that, you can add some conditions, and when they are met, the marker changes. Click on the \u201c<strong>Add Item<\/strong>\u201d button and choose how and on which conditions the marker will change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If there are many items on the map and it looks messy, you can enable the <strong>Marker Clustering<\/strong> toggle, and all markers placed close will gather in convenient clusters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/map-listing-marker-settings-1.png\" alt=\"map listing marker settings\">\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"popup-settings\"><strong>Pop-up settings<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The markers are shown in the pop-ups. Here you can define some of the pop-up settings:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Marker popup width<\/strong> \u2014 with the help of this slider, you can define the width of the pop-up window;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Vertical offset<\/strong> \u2014 here, you can set, in pixels, how far from the marker the pop-up emerges;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Add popup preloader<\/strong> \u2014 enable this toggle if you want to add the loading animation to the pop-up window. It will be shown while the pop-up loads.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/map-listing-popup-settings-1.png\" alt=\"map listing popup settings\">\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"custom-query\"><strong>Custom Query<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Once enabled, you can select a custom query built beforehand in the <a href=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/articles\/jetengine-query-builder-overview\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Query Builder<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/map-listing-custom-query-1.png\" alt=\"map listing custom query\">\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"widget-visibility\"><strong>Widget Visibility<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>With the <strong>Widget Visibility<\/strong> settings section, it is possible to make the element always shown or hide it when the query is empty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/map-listing-widget-visibility-1.png\" alt=\"map listing widget visibility\">\n\n\n\n<p>After you finish customizing the page with <strong>Map Listing<\/strong>, hit the <strong>\u201cSave\u201d <\/strong>button.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"map-listing-on-the-front-end\"><strong>Map Listing on the Front End<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container\">\n<p>Proceed to the page with <strong>Map Listing<\/strong> on the front end.
