The Query Loop<\/strong><\/a> builder is the Bricks <\/em>theme feature that allows you to query your database based on specified parameters and display the desired results dynamically within the loop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is available for all layout elements<\/a>, Accordion<\/strong>, Slider<\/strong>, Accordion<\/strong> (Nestable), Tabs<\/strong> (Nestable), and Slider<\/strong> (Nestable) elements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the JetSmartFilters<\/em> plugin, you can create filtering solutions for the Bricks <\/em>builder and apply filters to refine the Query Loop<\/strong> results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The JetEngine<\/em><\/a> plugin also integrates with Bricks. During the tutorial, we will describe some features you can use with the Query Loop<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Using the Query Loop<\/strong>, you can display posts, terms, or user info. With the JetEngine <\/em>plugin, you can create Custom Post Types<\/strong><\/a> and custom taxonomies<\/strong><\/a>. If you want to work with native WordPress posts, users, and terms, you can add custom meta fields<\/strong><\/a> to them with the Meta Box<\/strong><\/a> feature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Create a Query Loop<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Before you start, proceed to the Bricks > Settings <\/em><\/strong>tab on the WordPress Dashboard<\/strong>. In the General <\/strong>section, you can enable the Post Types <\/strong>you want to edit with Bricks<\/em>. Now, you need to ensure that the Page <\/strong>toggle is enabled.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Scroll down to the end of the settings page and hit the \u201cSave Settings\u201d<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then, follow the WordPress Dashboard > Pages > Add New Page<\/em><\/strong> path. Enter the page title and hit the \u201cEDIT WITH BRICKS\u201d <\/strong>button.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We will add a Query Loop<\/strong> and filters on this page. If you already have a page or template with such elements, you can proceed to it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this case, we will describe how to show posts in a grid with three columns, but you can modify any layout that suits your needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

First, we add a Container<\/strong> and set the following options: \u201cWrap\u201d for the Flex wrap<\/strong>, \u201cHorizontal (row)\u201d for Direction<\/strong>, \u201cSpace between\u201d for Align main axis<\/strong>, and \u201c3rem\u201d for Column gap<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then, we add the Div <\/strong>element to the canvas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In its settings, we enable the Query loop <\/strong>toggle and press the \u201c\u221e<\/strong>\u201d icon for the Query <\/strong>field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For example, if we want to display and filter posts, we keep the \u201cPosts\u201d Type <\/strong>and select the needed Post type<\/strong> (\u201cDoctors\u201d CPT<\/strong> in this case).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Be aware that the Indexer<\/strong><\/a> option works with posts and users but does not work with terms, even if you create a \u201cTerms Query<\/a>\u201d with the Query Builder<\/strong> and use it in the Query Loop<\/strong>.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Also, with the JetEngine<\/em> plugin, such sources are available in the Type <\/strong>dropdown menu:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
