Using the Search Suggestions<\/strong> functionality, you can place the Search Suggestion <\/strong>widget that outputs a standard search form. When you start entering text in the search field, the widget will look for matching search queries in the database on this website and display a list of queries containing the entered text, i.e., suggestions. To manage the suggestions, you can edit or add them manually on the Search Suggestions <\/strong>dashboard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Add the Search Suggestions Widget or Block<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Search Suggestions<\/strong> widget or block can be added to a page (e.g., “Home” page), Header, etc. You can create a Header with the JetThemeCore<\/em><\/a> WordPress plugin. To learn more, proceed to the How to Create a Custom WordPress Header<\/strong><\/a> tutorial. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Open the page or Header in the Elementor or Gutenberg (Block) editor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Drag-n-drop the Search Suggestions<\/strong> widget to the Elementor editing page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\"search\n\n\n\n

Customize the widget settings according to your needs. Learn more from the Search Suggestions Widget Overview<\/strong><\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Click the \u201cUpdate\u201d <\/strong>button and proceed to the front end.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\"search\n\n\n\n

Place the Search Suggestions <\/strong>block on the Gutenberg (Block) editing page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\"search\n\n\n\n

The settings are similar to the Search Suggestions <\/strong>widget. Customize the block and click the \u201cUpdate\u201d <\/strong>button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\"search\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Proceed to the Front End<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Open the page with the Search Suggestions on the front end.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\"search\n\n\n\n

When you enter a suggestion or click on a selected suggestion from the drop-down list, you will be redirected to the corresponding search results page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I returned to the \u201cHome\u201d page and clicked on the search bar. Now it shows the new suggestion since I enabled the Show Suggestions on Input Focus option for the Search Suggestion widget.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\"new\n\n\n\n

If I enter a misspelled search key (e.g., \u201cfrence\u201d instead of \u201cfrance\u201d), it will show the \u201cNothing Found\u201d message.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\"nothing\n\n\n\n

On the Search Suggestions<\/strong> dashboard, you can set the parent \u201cfrance\u201d suggestion to the \u201cfrence\u201d so that when users will enter misspelled keys, the search bar will show the correct \u201cfrance\u201d suggestion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Enter as many search keys as you want. Now, let\u2019s manage the saved suggestions.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Manage Suggestions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Follow the WordPress Dashboard > JetPluginsSettings > JetSearch > Suggestions <\/em><\/strong>path.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Suggestions<\/strong> dashboard displays the search queries (suggestions) list formed from previously entered real search queries or those manually entered by the site administrator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All suggestions have the \u201cUnassigned\u201d Type <\/strong>for now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\"search\n\n\n\n

To add suggestions manually, hit the \u201cAdd New\u201d <\/strong>button at the top of the page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since all my posts contain the \u201cItaly\u201d name, I added the \u201cItalia\u201d suggestion and attached the \u201cItaly\u201d Parent<\/strong> to it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\"add\n\n\n\n

I pushed the \u201cAdd New\u201d <\/strong>button. The \u201cItalia\u201d suggestion obtains the \u201cParent\u201d Type<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\"parent\n\n\n\n

And the \u201cItalia\u201d becomes \u201cChild.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n\"child\n\n\n\n

To edit suggestions, you can press the pencil-shaped icon <\/strong>in the Actions<\/strong> column. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Edit Suggestion<\/strong> pop-up, you can rename a suggestion, change its weight (the bigger the weight, the higher the suggestion in the list), and assign or unassign a parent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\"edit\n\n\n\n

Manage the suggestions according to your needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\"managed\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Check the Final Result<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Return to the front end. When you enter the misspelled suggestion, the search bar shows the parent suggestions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\"parent\n\n\n\n

When users click on the parent suggestion, they are redirected to the corresponding search results page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\"search\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
