In this tutorial, we will create a Listing template<\/strong><\/a> that displays published posts filtered by a specific taxonomy term.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We will use the \u201cPosts Query<\/a>\u201d Query Type<\/strong><\/a> to display the Custom Post Type<\/strong> (CPT<\/strong>)<\/a> data in the listing, but the same workflow applies to any other supported Query Type<\/strong> in Query Builder<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Create a Query with the Query Builder<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Navigate to WordPress Dashboard > JetEngine > Query Builder <\/em><\/strong>and press \u201cAdd New<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Enter the descriptive Name <\/strong>(here, \u201cPosts by Vacancy Type\u201d) and set the desired Query Type <\/strong>to retrieve the needed type of data. For example, we select the \u201cPosts Query\u201d option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next, we pick the \u201cJobs (Vacancies)\u201d Post Type <\/strong>(the CPT <\/strong>created beforehand) and the \u201cPublished (publish)\u201d Post Status<\/strong> in the General <\/strong>tab of the query settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After that, we switch to the Tax Query <\/strong>tab and press the \u201cAdd new<\/strong>\u201d button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Tax Query Clauses <\/strong>section, we select the \u201cVacancy Type\u201d Taxonomy<\/strong>, a custom taxonomy<\/a> previously built. Then we set the Field <\/strong>to \u201cSlug\u201d and specify the Terms <\/strong>we want to display. In this tutorial, it\u2019s \u201cinternship,\u201d which is the slug of the needed term.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This way, the query will retrieve only published posts from the selected term.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The basic setup for the query is done. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once you are ready with your query, click the \u201cAdd Query<\/strong>\u201d button to save the changes.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Build a Listing Template with Query Builder Source<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Let\u2019s build a Listing template<\/strong>. To do it, head to WordPress Dashboard > JetEngine > Listings\/Components<\/em><\/strong> and press the \u201cAdd New Item<\/strong>\u201d button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the opened pop-up, select the \u201cQuery Builder\u201d Listing source<\/strong> and pick the just-built Query<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then, set the Listing item name <\/strong>(for example, \u201cPosts by Vacancy Type\u201d) and select the preferred page builder in the Listing view <\/strong>field. In this tutorial, we select \u201cElementor.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Push the \u201cCreate Listing Item<\/strong>\u201d button to proceed to the editor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now you can design the listing layout and dynamically output the post data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Initially, we will add two columns. In the first column, we will display the post title. To do this, we add a Dynamic Field<\/strong><\/a> widget, set the Source <\/strong>to \u201cPost\/Term\/User\/Object Data\u201d and Object Field <\/strong>to \u201cTitle.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the second column, we add the Dynamic Terms<\/strong><\/a> <\/strong>widget and select the \u201cVacancy Type\u201d option in the From taxonomy <\/strong>dropdown list. This way, the vacancy type will be displayed next to the title.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After that, we want to display the vacancy responsibilities stored in the CPT<\/strong>\u2019s meta field.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, we add a Dynamic Field <\/strong>widget in the new section below the one with two columns. In its Content <\/strong>settings, we set the Source <\/strong>to \u201cMeta Data\u201d and select the required Meta Field<\/strong> (in our case, \u201cResponsibilities\u201d). We built and completed the corresponding meta field in the posts beforehand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also, we add a Divider <\/strong>to the listing for styling purposes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Add the necessary content to the listing and style it. Publish the listing template when it\u2019s ready.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Display the Template with Listing Grid<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Listing Template<\/strong> is completed. Now we can output it on a needed page or template using the Listing Grid<\/strong> widget<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We go to the WordPress Dashboard > Pages <\/em><\/strong>and click the \u201cAdd New<\/strong>\u201d button to build a new page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Add a Listing Grid <\/strong>to the page and select the just-built Listing<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We also change the Columns Number <\/strong>to \u201c1\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Work on other Listing Grid <\/strong>settings if needed and, when ready, press the \u201cPublish<\/strong>\u201d button.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Open the built page on the front end. Now the Listing Grid <\/strong>shows posts retrieved by the custom Query Builder <\/strong>query, using a Listing template<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
