Activate Maps Listings Module<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Before starting, make sure that you have activated the Maps Listings <\/strong>module in the Modules <\/strong>tab of the WordPress Dashboard > JetEngine > JetEngine <\/em><\/strong>directory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Create a Filter<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Go to WordPress Dashboard > JetSmartFilters > Add New<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Complete the Filter Name <\/strong>field and select the \u201cUser Geolocation\u201d Filter Type<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fill in the Filter Label <\/strong>and Active Filter Labels<\/strong>. The first one can be displayed next to the filter, and the second one is used for Active Tags <\/strong>and Active Filters <\/strong>widgets\/blocks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hit the \u201cPublish<\/strong>\u201d button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Build a Query<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Head to WordPress Dashboard > JetEngine > Query Builder <\/em><\/strong>and press the \u201cAdd New<\/strong>\u201d button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Give a Name <\/strong>to the query and set its Query Type <\/strong>to one of the presented options, where the geo search can be applied. Among them are \u201cPosts Query,\u201d \u201cTerms Query,\u201d \u201cUsers Query,\u201d and \u201cCustom Content Type Query.\u201d Pick according to the Listing Grid <\/strong>source that you want to filter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the General <\/strong>tab of the following Posts Query <\/strong>section, define the Post Type <\/strong>you are working with and select the Post Status<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Head to the Geo Search <\/strong>tab and pick the point on the Select location <\/strong>map. It will be used as a map center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Complete the Address Field<\/strong> with the name of a field attached to the post type to pull the data about the location.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Specify the Distance <\/strong>and its Units <\/strong>to search only around the set radius.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Click the \u201cAdd Query<\/strong>\u201d button to save the result.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Edit a Page<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Proceed to WordPress Dashboard > Pages <\/em><\/strong>and create a new page (the \u201cAdd New<\/strong>\u201d button) or select the already built one (the \u201cEdit<\/strong>\u201d button).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A page can be edited either in Elementor, Bricks, or Gutenberg. We will create a page on an Elementor page builder basis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Place the Heading <\/strong>widget to customize the page and add the User Geolocation <\/strong>widget.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pick the newly created filter in the Select filter <\/strong>field and attach it to the \u201cJetEngine\u201d provider with the help of the This filter for<\/strong> field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can also customize the following widget settings if needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Make sure you have added a Listing Grid <\/strong>widget to the page as well. Select the desired Listing <\/strong>and adjust the following customization fields in the General <\/strong>settings tab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Custom Query <\/strong>tab, activate the Use Custom Query <\/strong>toggle and pick the Custom Query <\/strong>you created earlier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once everything is set, press the \u201cPublish\/Update<\/strong>\u201d button to save the changes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Check the Result<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Head to the front end to check the result. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here, the location permission window will appear at first, if the user hasn\u2019t granted it on this website before. If the user agrees to share their geolocation, the Listing Grid <\/strong>will now show posts based on the user’s geolocation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
