There are some cases when you need to convert the post type on your WordPress website. In this guide, we will cover how you can switch between WordPress and JetEngine <\/em>post types.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let\u2019s assume you have already created posts about books using the WordPress default \u201cPosts\u201d post type, and now you want to convert them to JetEngine<\/em>\u2019s Custom Post Type <\/strong>called \u201cBooks.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We will explore several ways how you can switch the needed post\u2019s post type.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Change Post Type via Block Editor<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Go to the WordPress editor of the desired post\/page and open the Summary <\/strong>tab on the right side of the page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Find the Post Type <\/strong>field and press the link next to it to change the post type.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pick the post type you want to switch your content to; for example, it can be JetEngine<\/em>\u2019s CPT<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once the option is clicked, you will see the confirmation pop-up. When you confirm the alterations, the post type will be changed immediately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Change Post Type via the \u201cQuick Edit\u201d Button<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The post type can be changed even without opening it in the editor.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just open the posts list and push the \u201cQuick Edit<\/strong>\u201d button next to the needed post.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now, the Quick Edit <\/strong>section will be opened with different options for quick customization. One of them is a Post Type<\/strong>, a drop-down list with the available post types for transferring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After you change the Post Type<\/strong>, don\u2019t forget to click the \u201cUpdate<\/strong>\u201d button below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Change Post Type for Multiple Posts<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Proceed to the posts\/pages list and put a tick next to the needed posts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Open the \u201cBulk actions<\/strong>\u201d drop-down list, select the \u201cEdit<\/strong>\u201d option, and press the \u201cApply<\/strong>\u201d button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Bulk edit<\/strong> section is now open. Here, pick the desired Post Type <\/strong>from the corresponding drop-down list and click the \u201cUpdate<\/strong>\u201d button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
