Create a Meta Box with the Advanced Date Field and Add it to the CPT<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Navigate to the WordPress Dashboard > JetEngine > Meta Boxes <\/em><\/strong>tab and create a meta box<\/a> for the built Custom Post Type <\/strong>(CPT<\/strong>) (here, the \u201cFilms\u201d CPT<\/strong>).\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unroll the Visibility Conditions<\/strong> block and select the required CPT <\/strong>from the Enable For Post Types<\/strong> drop-down menu.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then, head to the Meta fields<\/strong> block and complete the field\u2019s Label<\/strong>. The Name\/ID<\/strong> will be completed automatically. After that, select the “Advanced Date” meta field option in the Field type<\/strong> drop-down menu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Save the meta box by pressing the \u201cAdd Meta Box<\/strong>\u201d or \u201cUpdate Meta Box<\/strong>\u201d button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Open the CPT<\/strong> posts, scroll them down, and fill out the Start date<\/strong> and Has end date<\/strong> settings of the \u201cAdvanced Date\u201d field of the Meta Box<\/strong> (here, \u201cdates\u201d). In this tutorial, we additionally enabled the Is recurring<\/strong> toggle and selected the \u201cWeekly\u201d Repeat<\/strong> fields options.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, press the \u201cSave<\/strong>\u201d button at the top of the page.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Create a Listing Item<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Navigate to the WordPress Dashboard ><\/em><\/strong> JetEngine > Listings<\/em><\/strong> tab and create a listing item in the preferred editor. In this tutorial, we used Elementor. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next, we created the listing item (here, \u201cListing Films\u201d) for the CPT<\/strong> (here, \u201cFilms\u201d) with the necessary dynamic fields to display. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Read the How to Create Listing Template for Post Types in Elementor<\/a> tutorial to learn how to create a listing item, fill in the listing with content, and place the Listing Grid<\/strong><\/a> widget on a page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After that, add the needed meta fields via the Dynamic Field<\/strong><\/a> and Dynamic Image<\/strong><\/a> widgets\/blocks\/elements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then, add the Dynamic Field <\/strong>to display the start date. First, select the \u201cMeta Data\u201d option in the Source<\/strong> drop-down list. Second, type the name of the Advanced Date<\/strong> field (the \u201cdates\u201d text in this tutorial) in the Object field \/ Meta field \/ Repeater key \/ Component prop <\/strong>text field. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the next step, we activated the Filter field output<\/strong> toggle and selected the \u201cFormat date\u201d option in the Callback<\/strong> drop-down list. Also, to provide better usability, we typed \u201cStart date:\u201d before the \u201c%s\u201d text in the Field format<\/strong> text field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the next stage, insert another Dynamic Field <\/strong>to display the end date. Then, select the \u201cMeta Data\u201d option in the Source<\/strong> drop-down list and type the \u201cdates__end_date\u201d text in the Object field \/ Meta field \/ Repeater key \/ Component prop <\/strong>text field. Here, the \u201cdates__end_date\u201d includes the name of the Advanced Date<\/strong> field (\u201cdates\u201d) and the \u201cend_date\u201d text divided by two underscore signs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then, we activated the Filter field output<\/strong> toggle and selected the \u201cFormat date\u201d option in the Callback<\/strong> drop-down list. Also, for better usability, we typed \u201cEnd date:\u201d before the \u201c%s\u201d text in the Field format<\/strong> text field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Show the Advanced Dates Fields via the Listing Grid Widget\/Block\/Element<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Create a page to display the built listing item with the CPT <\/strong>posts (\u201cFilms\u201d in this case). Find the Listing Grid<\/strong><\/a> widget\/block\/element (depending on the editor you use) and drag-n-drop it to the page.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After that, select the built Listing<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, publish the page and navigate to the front end to observe if the dates from the meta box <\/strong>are shown correctly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
