Custom Content Type (CCT)<\/strong><\/a> items don\u2019t support Single pages directly. If you need one, we suggest starting with a Custom Post Type (CPT)<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you still want a Single page for your CCT<\/strong> items, you can create a similar CPT<\/strong> and link it to the needed CCT<\/strong>. Then, after adding new CCT<\/strong> items, the related posts will be generated automatically and will have Single pages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As an example, we will create a Single template for the \u201cWebinars\u201d CCT<\/strong> with the related \u201cWebinars\u201d CPT<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Create a Custom Post Type<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

First, we need to create a CPT<\/strong> that is similar to the CCT<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Go to WordPress Dashboard > JetEngine > Post Types <\/em><\/strong>and press the \u201cAdd New<\/strong>\u201d button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Set the Post Type Name<\/strong> and Post Type Slug<\/strong> fields and press the \u201cAdd Post Type<\/strong>\u201d button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Set up a Custom Content Type<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Navigate to the WordPress Dashboard > JetEngine > Custom Content Types<\/em><\/strong> tab and press the \u201cAdd New<\/strong>\u201d button or open the required CCT<\/strong> settings by clicking the \u201cEdit<\/strong>\u201d action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ensure to set the Name<\/strong> and Slug<\/strong> and craft the required custom fields<\/strong><\/a>. More details are described in the How to Create Custom Content Type<\/strong><\/a> tutorial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In our case, it\u2019s the \u201cWebinar name\u201d with \u201cText<\/a>\u201d Field type<\/strong>, \u201cWebinar description\u201d with \u201cTextarea<\/a>\u201d Field type<\/strong>, \u201cWebinar image\u201d with \u201cMedia<\/a>\u201d Field type<\/strong>, \u201cScheduled date and time\u201d with \u201cDatetime<\/a>\u201d Field type<\/strong>, and \u201cRegistration link\u201d with \u201cText\u201d Field type<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then, in the General Settings <\/strong>section, enable the Has Single Page<\/strong> toggle and set the required CPT<\/strong> as the Related Post Type<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also, you can select the CCT<\/strong>\u2019s Title field <\/strong>that will be related to the post title and Content field <\/strong>that will be related to the post content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Press the \u201cAdd\/Update Content Type<\/strong>\u201d button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Add CCT Items<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Head to the CCT<\/strong> tab on the WordPress Dashboard<\/strong> and create several CCT<\/strong> items.<\/p>\n\n\n

If you created items before connecting the CPT<\/strong> to CCT<\/strong>, they wouldn\u2019t have related posts and Single pages accordingly. To change it, you can \u201cClone<\/strong>\u201d all previously created items and \u201cDelete<\/strong>\u201d the old ones. Hence, posts related to the items will be created, and Single pages will be available.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The CCT<\/strong> item editing page includes the Single post <\/strong>section with the \u201cGo to single post<\/strong>\u201d link that redirects to the related post editing page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After items are created, you can proceed to the CPT <\/strong>tab on the WordPress Dashboard <\/strong>to check if posts that repeat the CCT<\/strong> items are added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The post title and content repeat the text entered into the related item custom fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Create a Listing Template<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Create a listing template for the CCT<\/strong> items as described in the How to Create Custom Content Type Listing Template<\/strong><\/a> tutorial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hit the \u201cgear<\/strong>\u201d button from the upper toolbar to open the Listing Item Settings<\/strong> and unroll the Listing Settings <\/strong>tab. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Enable the Make listing item clickable <\/strong>toggle and pick the \u201cPermalink\u201d Link source<\/strong>. After clicking a listing item, users will be redirected to the Single page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then, publish the Listing template<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Afterward, proceed to any page or template, place the Listing Grid<\/strong><\/a>, select the recently created Listing<\/strong>, and save the changes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Craft a Single Page Template<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Now, we will create a Single template for the related CPT<\/strong> to display the CCT<\/strong> item details here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Proceed to the WordPress Dashboard > Crocoblock > Theme Builder <\/em><\/strong>tab and press the \u201cCreate new page template<\/strong>\u201d button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Create page template<\/strong> pop-up, push the \u201c+Add Condition<\/strong>\u201d button and choose the \u201cInclude,\u201d \u201cSingular,\u201d CPT<\/strong> related to CCT<\/strong>, and \u201cAll\u201d options. Then, hit the \u201cCreate<\/strong>\u201d button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rename the page template (optional) and click \u201c+ Add body<\/strong>.\u201d Then, press \u201cCreate template<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Create a template <\/strong>pop-up, select the Template content type<\/strong>, enter the Template name<\/strong>, and press the \u201cCreate<\/strong>\u201d button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the template is created, press the \u201cGo to editor<\/strong>\u201d button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the template editing page, place the Dynamic Widgets or Blocks<\/strong><\/a> to display the values from the CCT<\/strong> meta fields as you did for the Listing<\/strong> template.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The preview isn\u2019t available, but the result will be shown on the front end.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Publish the template, return to WordPress Dashboard > Crocoblock > Theme Builder<\/em><\/strong>, and set the header<\/strong><\/a> and footer<\/strong><\/a> for the Single page template.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Checking the Results<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Open the page with Listing Grid <\/strong>on the front end and click one of the items to proceed to its Single page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
