If you set the \u201cPlain\u201d Booking Mode <\/strong>in the General<\/strong><\/a> <\/strong>settings tab, you need to configure the \u201cEmail\u201d field in the booking form<\/a>.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Head to the WordPress Dashboard > Bookings > Settings > Workflows <\/em><\/strong>tab and activate the Enable Workflows <\/strong>toggle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then, press the \u201c+ New Workflow Item<\/strong>\u201d button and adjust its settings described in the Workflows<\/a> <\/strong>chapter of the JetBooking Dashboard Overview<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n

Be aware that no matter how the workflow items\u2019 options are configured, the workflow will not function if the Enable Workflows<\/strong> toggle is switched off.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Sending a Confirmation Email<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In this chapter, we\u2019ll explain how to send a confirmation email to the customer once a new booking is successfully created. The email will include essential booking details, such as check-in and check-out dates, booking ID, and customer name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the workflow item, set the \u201cBooking Created\u201d option in the Event <\/strong>dropdown menu and \u201cImmediately\u201d in the Start <\/strong>dropdown. In this way, the email will be sent immediately to the client after the booking creation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Afterward, press the \u201c+ New Action<\/strong>\u201d button. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Enter the Name <\/strong>(e.g., \u201cConfirmation Email\u201d) and keep the \u201cSend Email\u201d Action<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the next fields, you can enter static text or use dynamic JetBooking<\/em> macros<\/a> to personalize it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Send to<\/strong> field, enter the recipient’s email address. To set this dynamically, click the \u201cdatabase<\/strong>\u201d button, select the \u201cBooking Data\u201d macro, and choose \u201cUser E-mail\u201d as the Data Type<\/strong>. After that, the \u201c%booking_data|user_email||%\u201d macro will be inserted into the field. This ensures the email is automatically sent to the customer who made the booking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the email\u2019s Subject<\/strong>, you can include details such as booking ID, customer name, check-in date, or other relevant information. For example, we press the \u201cdatabase<\/strong>\u201d button, select the \u201cBooking Data\u201d macro, and choose \u201cID\u201d as the Data Type<\/strong>. Before the macro, we enter the static text: “Your Booking Confirmation \u2014 ” followed by %booking_data|ID||%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Send from<\/strong> field, enter the address from which the email is sent. It can be the hotel\u2019s official email address (e.g., reservations@grandhotel.com<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Send from name <\/strong>field, type the name of the email sender (e.g., \u201cGrand Hotel Team\u201d).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Message<\/strong> textarea, customize the email body using static text and macros. Here, we use such macros:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
