Create a Relation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Let\u2019s add a WordPress relation<\/strong><\/a>. Proceed to WordPress Dashboard > JetEngine > Relations<\/em><\/strong> and click the \u201cAdd New<\/strong>\u201d button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Give a Name <\/strong>to the relation, and set the Parent <\/strong>and Child objects<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now, the \u201cClients\u201d Custom Content Type<\/strong> will be the parent, and the \u201cMembership\u201d taxonomy is the child object. Also, select the \u201cOne to many\u201d Relation type<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can adjust other fields in the General Settings<\/strong> section if needed. For example, we leave the Register controls for the parent object<\/strong> and Register controls for child object<\/strong> toggles activated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then, we move to the Labels <\/strong>section and alter the default values. However, you can leave them unchanged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the next tab, you can add a <\/strong>meta field<\/strong><\/a> for the relation. In our case, we do not need them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When you are ready with the settings, click the \u201cAdd\/Update Relation<\/strong>\u201d button.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Connect CCT Items with Categories<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Go to WordPress Dashboard > Your CCT Name<\/em><\/strong> and click the \u201cEdit<\/strong>\u201d button next to the desired item.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Scroll down to the relation section and press the \u201cConnect \u2026<\/strong>\u201d button (the name of the button depends on the child object\u2019s name and relation labels).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now, select the needed option from the dropdown list and click the \u201cConnect \u2026<\/strong>\u201d button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you added meta data to your relation, you can set it for the selected term.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Don\u2019t forget to press the \u201cSave Meta Data<\/strong>\u201d button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Work on other fields if needed, and click the \u201cSave<\/strong>\u201d button. Add relation to all needed CCT Items <\/strong>by taking the steps described above.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Display Data in the Listing<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Now, we need to create a terms listing<\/strong><\/a> to display clients\u2019 membership (categories of our CCT<\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Navigate to the WordPress Dashboard > JetEngine > Listings\/Components<\/em><\/strong> directory. Select an already built listing for editing or click the \u201cAdd New Item<\/strong>\u201d button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the pop-up, select the \u201cTerms\u201d Source<\/strong>, select the needed taxonomy in the From Taxonomy<\/strong> dropdown, fill in the Listing item name<\/strong>, and pick the needed Listing view<\/strong>. We will review Elementor, Gutenberg, and Bricks. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Press the \u201cCreate Listing Item<\/strong>\u201d button to open the editor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Elementor display<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Add the Dynamic Field<\/strong><\/a> widget to display the term name related to the CCT Item<\/strong>. This time, we choose the \u201cPost\/Term\/User\/Object Data\u201d Source <\/strong>and the \u201cTerm name\u201d Object Field<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To display the relation\u2019s meta data (if you have any), add one more Dynamic Field<\/strong> and pick the \u201cRelation Meta Data\u201d Source<\/strong>. Select the name of the relation Meta Field<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now, you can work on other settings and press the \u201cPublish<\/strong>\u201d button once you finish.
Then, head to WordPress Dashboard > JetEngine > Listings\/Components<\/em><\/strong> again and create one more listing with the \u201cCustom Content Type\u201d Listing source<\/strong> this time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Add the desired widgets for display. You can check the details of the settings listing template for CCT <\/strong>in the How to Create Custom Content Type Listing Template in the Elementor<\/strong><\/a> tutorial. For instance, we have added a Dynamic Image<\/strong><\/a> <\/strong>widget to show the \u0441lient\u2019s pic and a Dynamic Field<\/strong> for their name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then, find the Listing Grid<\/strong><\/a> <\/strong>widget for terms and place it on the page. Select the newly built Listing<\/strong>. Be aware that the data will not be displayed until you set a query.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now, you can open the WordPress Dashboard > JetEngine > Query Builder<\/em> <\/strong>tab to build a new query<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Complete the Name <\/strong>field and select \u201cTerms Query\u201d as the Query Type<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Scroll down to the General <\/strong>tab and select the Taxonomy<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Open the Include\/Exclude<\/strong> tab and press the \u201cDynamic Tags<\/strong>\u201d button to set the \u201cRelated Items\u201d macro in the Include <\/strong>field. Then, select the needed relation in the From Relation<\/strong> field. Choose the \u201cChild Object\u201d as From Object <\/strong>(as from the \u201cCCT to Taxonomy\u201d relation, we need to show the term, which is a child) and set the \u201cCurrent Object ID\u201d option in the Initial Object ID From <\/strong>field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Push the \u201cAdd Query<\/strong>\u201d button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Return to the CCT <\/strong>listing and head to the Custom Query <\/strong>section in the Content <\/strong>settings tab of the Terms <\/strong>listing. Here, enable the Use Custom Query<\/strong> toggle and choose the built Custom Query<\/strong> item.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Everything will be displayed now. Adjust the listing as desired, and press the \u201cPublish<\/strong>\u201d button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Block Editor (Gutenberg) display<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The same settings are available if you pick \u201cGutenberg<\/a>\u201d as the Listing view<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mind creating both \u201cTerms\u201d and \u201cCCT\u201d listings with the help of similarly named blocks. Also, use the previously built query.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mind pressing the \u201cSave<\/strong>\u201d button to save the listing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bricks display<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

You can check the specifics of displaying CCT <\/strong>meta fields in the Bricks Builder in the <\/strong>How to Showcase CCT Meta Fields Using Dynamic Tag in Bricks <\/strong><\/a>tutorial if needed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Make sure you created two listings<\/a> for terms and CCT<\/strong>. Here, the same query we created earlier should be used. When all the settings are done, ensure that the listing template is saved.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Place the Listing on the Page<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Open WordPress Dashboard > Pages<\/em><\/strong> and select the page you want to edit. Otherwise, create a new one by clicking the \u201cAdd New<\/strong>\u201d button. The new page can also be built with Elementor Page Builder, Gutenberg, or Bricks Builder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Drag and drop the Listing Grid<\/strong> widget\/block\/element onto the page. Choose the created listing in the Listing <\/strong>field. Now that everything is displayed, you can save the changes by clicking the \u201cPublish<\/strong>\u201d button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
