This method involves ordering the Listing Grid<\/strong><\/a> according to the \u201cFeatured\u201d meta field<\/a>, so the featured posts are shown at the top of the list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In this tutorial, we use the \u201cSwitcher<\/a>\u201d meta field to define if the post is featured. <\/p>\n\n\n\n To add the field, proceed to WordPress Dashboard > JetEngine > Post Types<\/em><\/strong>, <\/em><\/strong>click the \u201cAdd New<\/strong>\u201d button, or edit the already existing post type. You can check the details on setting up a new Custom Post Type<\/strong> (CPT<\/strong>) <\/strong>from our How to Create a Custom Post Type<\/strong><\/a> tutorial. In our case, we will add the \u201cSwitcher\u201d meta field to the \u201cServices\u201d CPT<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n On the newly appeared page, scroll down to the Meta Fields<\/strong> tab and click the \u201cNew Meta Field<\/strong>\u201d button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Fill out the Label <\/strong>and select the \u201cSwitcher\u201d option in the Field Type<\/strong> dropdown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Once you have adjusted the settings, click the \u201cAdd<\/strong>\/Update Post Type<\/strong>\u201d button. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Now, we need to set the values for the posts. From the WordPress Dashboard<\/strong>, proceed to the needed post type and either click the \u201cAdd Page<\/strong>\u201d button or edit the existing post.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Enable the \u201cSwitcher\u201d field toggle or leave it disabled, and click the \u201cSave<\/strong>\u201d button once you are ready.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Following the <\/strong>How to Create a Listing Template for Post Types in Elementor<\/strong><\/a> tutorial, we created the Listing Template<\/strong><\/a> for the Post Type<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n In this case, we added Dynamic Field<\/strong><\/a> widgets to display the title of the post and a meta field with a short description.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In our case, we would like to add a label for the featured posts to be shown on the featured posts only. For this, we used the Elementor Button <\/strong>widget and styled it according to our needs.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n Now, proceed to the Dynamic Visibility<\/strong><\/a> section in the Advanced<\/strong> tab and activate the Enable <\/strong>toggle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Then, select the \u201cSwitcher enabled\u201d Condition<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Click the \u201cDynamic Tag<\/strong><\/a>\u201d icon on the right side of the Field <\/strong>selector. Scroll down to the JetEngine <\/strong>section and choose the \u201cCustom Field\u201d <\/strong>option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In a newly appeared pop-up, pick the meta field from the dropdown (the \u201cFeatured\u201d field in our case).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Once you are ready with the settings, click the \u201cPublish<\/strong>\u201d button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Now, we need to create a Posts Custom Query<\/strong><\/a> to order the posts by the \u201cSwitcher\u201d meta field, so the featured posts are shown at the top of the list. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Proceed to the WordPress Dashboard > JetEngine > Query Builder<\/em><\/strong> and click the \u201cAdd New<\/strong>\u201d button. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Add the Name <\/strong>for the query and keep the \u201cPosts Query\u201d option in the Query Type<\/strong> field. In the General <\/strong>tab, select the needed CPT <\/strong>in the Post Type<\/strong> field (in our case, it is \u201cServices\u201d).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Scroll a bit down to the Order & Order By<\/strong> section. <\/p>\n\n\n\n In the Order By <\/strong>field, choose the \u201cOrder by string meta value\u201d option. In the newly appeared Meta Key<\/strong> field, type the name of the \u201cSwitcher\u201d meta field (\u201cfeatured\u201d in this tutorial). Select the \u201cFrom highest to lowest values (3,2,1; c, b, a)\u201d option from the Order <\/strong>dropdown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Click the \u201cAdd Query<\/strong>\u201d button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Now, let\u2019s proceed to the page where the posts should be displayed. Open it in the page editor. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Add the Listing Grid<\/strong><\/a> widget and in the Listing <\/strong>field, select the Listing Template<\/strong> we created earlier. After setting all the basic fields in the General <\/strong>tab, open the Custom Query<\/strong> tab and enable the Use Custom Query<\/strong> toggle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Select the Custom Query<\/strong> you have just created in the newly appeared dropdown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Click the \u201cPublish<\/strong>\u201d button once you are ready with the settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n When we proceed to the frontend of the page, we see that the posts with the enabled switcher have a special label and are shown at the top of the list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This part of the tutorial focuses on displaying featured posts after a successful payment.
