This tutorial focuses on arranging meta fields in the Booking Instance Custom Post Types<\/strong><\/a> for JetBooking <\/em>using the JetEngine <\/em>WordPress plugin, to display and manage booking data more effectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Creating the Booking Instance Custom Post Type<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In this tutorial, we use the premade Dynamic Template<\/strong><\/a> \u2013 BaliRento<\/strong><\/a>. It is a vacation rental Dynamic Template<\/strong> for Elementor<\/em> with the booking system set up. You can use a Dynamic Template <\/strong>and customize it according to your needs, or you can create a site and a Custom Post Type<\/strong>, particularly from scratch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This guide focuses on the step-by-step setup of the Booking Instance Custom Post Type<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, proceed to WordPress Dashboard > JetEngine > Post Types<\/em><\/strong> and click the \u201cAdd Post Type<\/strong>\u201d button. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Add the Post Type Name<\/strong> (\u201cProperties\u201d in this guide).\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then, open the Advanced Settings <\/strong>tab and scroll down to the Supports <\/strong>input. Here, make sure that the \u201cTitle\u201d and \u201cThumbnail\u201d are added to the list.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No extra meta fields for price are needed to be added to this CPT<\/strong>, as this data is taken from JetBooking<\/em>.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Now, let\u2019s scroll down to the Meta Fields<\/strong> tab. Click the \u201cNew Meta Field<\/strong>\u201d button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

First of all, as it is a property, let\u2019s add the address or location. For this, we can use \u201cText<\/a>\u201d, \u201cTextarea<\/a>\u201d, or \u201cMaps<\/a>\u201d field. In this tutorial, we use the \u201cTextarea\u201d field for that.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So after a new field is created, type its Label <\/strong>and ensure that the Name\/ID<\/strong> contains only Latin letters, numbers, \u2019-\u2019 or \u2018_\u2019 characters. Select the \u201cTextarea\u201d option for the Field type<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you need to add the description of the service, you can use the default Excerpt <\/strong>field, or add the \u201cTextarea\u201d or \u201cWYSIWYG<\/a>\u201d field.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then, click the \u201cNew Meta Field<\/strong>\u201d button again and add a new field. Now, we need a \u201cRooms\u201d field. For this, we add the Label <\/strong>and Name\/ID<\/strong>. For the Field Type<\/strong>, keep the \u201cText\u201d option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the same way, we create three more fields for beds, baths, and size. Alternatively, the \u201cNumber<\/a>\u201d field can be used for these fields.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then, we add the \u201cCheck-in\u201d and \u201cCheck-out time\u201d fields. For this, we add a new \u201cTime<\/a>\u201d field.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Add the Label <\/strong>and Name\/ID<\/strong> and select the \u201cTime\u201d option for the Field type<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The thumbnail image will be added to the post by default, but if we need to add more images, the \u201cImage<\/a>\u201d or \u201cGallery<\/a>\u201d field should be used.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this case, we use the \u201cGallery\u201d field to show more images of the property.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To make the selection of the property even more user-friendly for customers, we add the \u201cVideo tour URL\u201d field. For this, the \u201cText\u201d field can be used.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, we add two \u201cCheckbox<\/a>\u201d fields for the \u201cFacilities\u201c and \u201cPopular filters\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In case you need to use these fields for filtering or Custom Queries<\/strong><\/a> later, ensure that the Save as Array <\/strong>toggle is enabled.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also, if you work with the properties, the \u201cNumber\u201d field may be needed to specify the allowed number of guests and children in the property.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If your site offers different types of housing, the \u201cSelect<\/a>\u201d or \u201cRadio<\/a>\u201d field may be needed to specify the type of property.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, on the property sites, you can check if pets are allowed. So let\u2019s add the \u201cSwitcher<\/a>\u201d field, \u201cPets friendly\u201d.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These are the basic fields. You can select which ones you need or add other fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adjusting the Booking Instance Post Type<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Now, proceed to the WordPress Dashboard > Bookings > Settings > General <\/em><\/strong>tab. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Booking instance post type<\/strong> field, select the CPT<\/strong> (\u201cProperties\u201d in this tutorial) we have just created.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once the \u201cProperties\u201d CPT<\/strong> is created, the available service posts can be added. Proceed to WordPress Dashboard > CPT<\/em><\/strong> you created (\u201cProperties\u201d here) and click the \u201cAdd Post<\/strong>\u201d button. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the newly opened page, add the title, thumbnail, and fill in all the meta fields.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To display all the added meta fields, we need to create a Single Page<\/strong> template. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, we created a template to display all the information about the property.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
