This tutorial shows how to enable booking cancellation in the WordPress JetBooking <\/em>plugin and display it on your site. You will learn how to activate the feature, create a query and a listing to show booking details, add a dynamic cancellation link with a redirect, and manage its visibility for a smooth user experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

JetBooking Settings<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

First of all, proceed to WordPress Dashboard > Bookings > Settings > Advanced<\/em><\/strong> and enable the Booking cancellation<\/strong> toggle. It allows the customer to cancel the booking after it has been reserved. A refund will not be sent automatically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, the Cancellation deadline<\/strong> field appears, which allows specifying a cancellation time limit before the start of the reservation. Once this deadline passes, cancellation requests will no longer be accepted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Set Up a Custom Query<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Now, proceed to WordPress Dashboard > JetEngine > Query Builder<\/em><\/strong> and click the \u201cAdd New<\/strong>\u201d button. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the newly opened page, enter the query Name <\/strong>and select the \u201cJetBooking Query<\/a>\u201d Query Type<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can add some other settings to the query; we keep it simple in this case. Click the \u201cAdd Query<\/strong>\u201d button once you are ready.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Create a Listing<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Next, navigate to WordPress Dashboard > JetEngine > Listings\/Components, <\/em><\/strong>and click the \u201cAdd New Item<\/strong>\u201d button to set a Listing Template for the Query<\/a> we created. In the newly opened pop-up, choose the \u201cQuery Builder\u201d Listing source<\/strong>. Select the Query <\/strong>you created earlier.\u00a0 Enter the Listing item name<\/strong> and select the Listing view<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then, click the \u201cCreate Listing Item<\/strong>\u201d button.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When the Elementor editing page is opened, you can display the booking data with the help of the Dynamic Widgets<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Add the Dynamic Link<\/strong><\/a> widget. In the Source <\/strong>field, scroll down to the JetBooking <\/strong>section and select the \u201cCancel Link\u201d option. You can also add the Redirect URL<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Optionally, the Dynamic Visibility<\/strong><\/a> setting for the Dynamic Link<\/strong> widget can be used to show the widget only when the booking is cancellable.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once you are ready with the setup, click the \u201cPublish<\/strong>\u201d button.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Add the Listing to the Page<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Proceed to the page where you need to add the listing. Open it in the Elementor editor and add the Listing Grid<\/strong><\/a> widget, and select the listing you created in the Listing <\/strong>field.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Things to know<\/div>

Note that the \u201cCancel<\/strong>\u201d button is only available for bookings created after the Booking cancellation<\/strong> feature is enabled.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

When we click the \u201cCancel<\/strong>\u201d button for the booking item with the ID \u201c1\u201d and proceed to the WordPress Dashboard > Bookings > Bookings<\/em><\/strong>, the booking with the ID \u201c1\u201d is cancelled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
