Create a Filter<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Go to WordPress Dashboard > Smart Filters > Add New<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Name the filter; in our case, \u201cCategory Job.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then, select the Filter Type<\/strong>. For example, we will build a \u201cSelect\u201d filter<\/a> to allow users to select one option from the list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As for the Data Source<\/strong>, we pick the \u201cTaxonomies\u201d option and the custom \u201cVacancy Category\u201d Taxonomy<\/strong>. Now, the filter will contain the taxonomy terms as options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We leave the following settings to the default. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next, we scroll down to the Filter Labels <\/strong>section and complete it with the needed labels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When the filter is ready, press the \u201cUpdate<\/strong>\u201d button.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Build a Listing<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Now, it\u2019s time to build a listing. Check our JSF Listing Overview<\/a> <\/strong>to find out more about the listings feature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To do so, navigate to the WordPress Dashboard > Smart Filters > Listings <\/em><\/strong>dashboard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Press the \u201cAdd New Listing<\/strong>\u201d button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Complete the listing\u2019s name (here, \u201cJSF Listing\u201d) and adjust the Query <\/strong>settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For example, in the Content <\/strong>section, we change the PER PAGE <\/strong>number to \u201c9\u201d to show nine posts on the page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then, in the Posts <\/strong>section, we pick the \u201cJobs (Vacancies)\u201d Custom Post Type <\/strong>(CPT<\/strong>) in the POST TYPES <\/strong>field to make it a source of the listing content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the next Layout <\/strong>section, we make no changes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moving to the following Item <\/strong>tab, select the Item <\/strong>that will become a template for the listing. As we haven\u2019t built it yet, we should create a new one. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, before doing that, we should save the listing by clicking the \u201cSave Listing<\/strong>\u201d button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now, you can press the \u201cCreate new item<\/strong>\u201d button to proceed to the item creation page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

First, we add a Listing Field<\/a> <\/strong>block to the page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As we want to display the post title, we leave the default settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now, we want to adjust the style of the block, so we proceed to the Style <\/strong>tab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here, we select the TEXT COLOR<\/strong> of the block and configure the TYPOGRAPHY <\/strong>values.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After that, we add a Listing Terms<\/a> <\/strong>block.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Terms List <\/strong>tab, we set the \u201cVacancy Type\u201d taxonomy as a source for the block content in the FROM TAXONOMY <\/strong>field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We leave the Style <\/strong>settings at the default.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next, we add a Listing Link<\/a> <\/strong>block to the item.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As for the main Settings <\/strong>tab, we leave the field customization default.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, we want to make the text underlined, so we go to the Style <\/strong>tab and enable the needed feature in the DECORATION <\/strong>section.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When the item is ready, click the \u201cSave and Back to Listing<\/strong>\u201d button to return to the listing editing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Item <\/strong>tab, make sure to pick the item you have just built in the corresponding dropdown list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now, save the listing by clicking the same-named button.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Add the Filter and the Listing to the Page<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Let\u2019s add the built filter and listing to the page. We will create a new page, named \u201cJobs Page\u201d, in the Elementor page builder. However, you are free to build a page in the Blocks editor or Bricks builder as well, as the JSF Listing <\/strong>block is also available there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When the editor is opened, add a corresponding filter widget to the page. In our case, it\u2019s the Select Filter<\/strong> widget.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Select filter <\/strong>dropdown list, choose the filter you previously built, and then assign the \u201cJSF Listing\u201d provider to this filter in the This filter for <\/strong>field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adjust other content and style settings if desired.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now, add a JSF Listing <\/strong>widget to the page and select the Listing <\/strong>you want to display on this page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you work with the Block Editor, you can also place the JSF Listing <\/strong>inside a Flexible Container <\/strong>block.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This block serves as a wrapper, helping to structure and customize the layout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Open the just-built page on the front end to check the result. You will observe both the filter and the listing on the page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
