In this tutorial, we will create a table with the JetEngine <\/em>custom query to display featured WooCommerce <\/em>products in the Dynamic Table<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Create a Query<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Head to WordPress Dashboard > JetEngine > Query Builder<\/em><\/strong>. Click \u201cAdd New<\/strong>\u201d to build a new query<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

First, complete the Name <\/strong>of the query. In our case, it\u2019s \u201cFeatured Products Query.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We want the table to display WooCommerce <\/em>products, so we select \u201cWC Product Query<\/a>\u201d as the Query Type<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Choose a Product Status<\/strong> in the General <\/strong>tab if it is needed. In the current case, the \u201cPublished (publish)\u201d status will be used.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now, the query needs to be modified to find only featured products. Proceed to the Specific <\/strong>tab and hit \u201cAdd new<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Set the Feature <\/strong>as \u201cFeatured\u201d and Status <\/strong>to \u201cTrue\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The basic setup for the query is done. Hit the \u201cAdd Query<\/strong>\u201d button to save the changes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now let\u2019s build a <\/strong>table.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Build a Dynamic Table<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Check whether the Dynamic Tables Builder<\/strong><\/a> toggle is activated in the WordPress Dashboard > JetEngine > Modules <\/em><\/strong>tab. If not, activate it and wait for the short installation to end.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Click the \u201cGo to Tables Builder<\/strong>\u201d button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To build a new table, press the \u201cAdd new<\/strong>\u201d button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Complete the table\u2019s Name <\/strong>(here, \u201cFeatured Products Table\u201d), select the built query in the Data Query <\/strong>list, and press the \u201cFetch Data<\/strong>\u201d button in the Fetch the data <\/strong>area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Open the next tab called Columns<\/strong> and press the \u201cNew column<\/strong>\u201d button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Complete the Column Name<\/strong>. For instance, we set it to \u201cImage\u201d because this column will display the book cover.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Column Content <\/strong>list, we pick the \u201cTemplate\u201d option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We have built a template with a book cover beforehand; now select it from the Custom Template <\/strong>dropdown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In our Listing template<\/strong>, we added a Dynamic Image<\/strong><\/a> widget with the \u201cFeatured Image\u201d Source<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Returning to the Tables Builder<\/strong>, we add another column by pressing the \u201cNew column<\/strong>\u201d button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We set the Column Name<\/strong> to \u201cTitle,\u201d as this column will display the book title.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Column Content <\/strong>list, we pick the \u201cRaw Value\u201d option and set the Data Source <\/strong>to \u201cPost\/Term\/User\/Object Field.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next, in the Select Field <\/strong>list, we pick the \u201cTitle\u201d option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the same way, we add the third column, \u201cCategory\u201d.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Its Data Source <\/strong>is set to \u201cRaw Value,\u201d Data Source <\/strong>to \u201cPost\/Term\/User\/Object Field,\u201d and the \u201cCategories\u201d option is selected in the Select Field<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The last column of the table will be called \u201cPrice\u201d, its Column Content <\/strong>is set to \u201cRaw Value\u201d and Data Source <\/strong>to \u201cPost\/Term\/User\/Object Field\u201d. In the Select Field<\/strong>, <\/strong>we select the \u201cPlain Price\u201d option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also, we activate the Customize Column Output <\/strong>toggle and complete the Output Format<\/strong> textarea with the \u201c$%s\u201d value, where \u201c%s\u201d is a dynamic value and \u201c$\u201d is a symbol that will be added before that value.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next, move to the Table Styles <\/strong>tab. Here, you can customize the vertical and horizontal alignment for the heading and cells of the added columns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To view the table preview, you can click the \u201cReload Preview<\/strong>\u201d button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When the table is ready, press the \u201cCreate Table<\/strong>\u201d button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Display the Table on the Front End<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Go to the page where you want to display a table of featured WooCommerce <\/em>products, then add a Dynamic Table <\/strong>to it. It can be found in Gutenberg, Elementor, or Bricks, so you can work with the builder you prefer. For example, we work in Elementor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pick the Table <\/strong>you built and make other changes to it using the features available in the Content <\/strong>section, if needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
