Website visitors can encounter a 404 error due to broken links and changed or mistyped page addresses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This tutorial will teach you how to use the JetThemeCore <\/em>plugin, included in the Crocoblock subscription<\/a>, to create user-friendly custom 404 pages with Elementor. Mind that Gutenberg’s building process is similar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Set Up Conditions for the 404 Page<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Go to WordPress Dashboard > Crocoblock > Theme Builder<\/em><\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Click the \u201cCreate new page template<\/strong>\u201d button to create a new item.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the displayed conditions pop-up, press the \u201cAdd condition<\/strong>\u201d button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then, in the first drop-down list, pick the \u201cInclude\u201d option; in the second list, find the \u201cSingle\u201d option, and set the third selector to the \u201c404 page\u201d option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hit the \u201cCreate<\/strong>\u201d button to save the changes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The created template will be displayed only when there is a 404 error on the page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Initially, the template is empty; you can see the \u201cAdd header,<\/strong>\u201d \u201cAdd body,<\/strong>\u201d and \u201cAdd footer<\/strong>\u201d buttons that allow creating the needed template sections separately. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After pressing one of these buttons, two options are displayed. Choose \u201cCreate template<\/strong>\u201d to build an item from scratch or \u201cAdd from library<\/strong>\u201d to select the already made template.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another option is to leave some of the elements empty; these are not obligatory to be added. For example, only the body can be displayed, or the header with the body.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Add Pre-built Templates to the 404 Page<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We will use the already-built header<\/a> and footer<\/a> by clicking the \u201cAdd from library<\/strong>\u201d button and selecting the needed items.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Create a New Body Template for the 404 Page<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Then, we will build a brand new body by hitting the \u201cCreate new template<\/strong>\u201d button in the body section.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the opened pop-up, pick the desired editor in the Template content type <\/strong>field and fill in the Template name <\/strong>field if desired. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, the last field is optional; you can freely leave it empty to generate the name automatically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Push the \u201cCreate<\/strong>\u201d button to begin setting up a template.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Click the \u201cGo to editor<\/strong>\u201d button to open the page builder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Work on the page, add the desired widgets and style the template. Press the \u201cUpdate<\/strong>\u201d button once you are satisfied with the result.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Check the front end. For instance, mistype the letter in the URL to see the newly built 404 page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
