Configure the JetMessenger Settings<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

After activation of the JetMessenger<\/em> plugin, configure the needed settings using the wizard or by pressing the \u201cSetup Wizard<\/strong>\u201d link below the plugin\u2019s name in the WordPress Dashboard > Plugins > Installed Plugins<\/em><\/strong> tab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

First, on the Select usage contexts page<\/strong>, we tick all available options to allow \u201cDirect messaging,\u201d \u201cPost messaging,” \u201cWooCommerce order messaging,\u201d and \u201cWooCommerce product messaging\u201d to allow placement of charts on the corresponding pages and direct messaging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next, on the Assign chat pages page<\/strong>, select existing pages or create new ones for messaging. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here, we create new pages and insert their names in the corresponding fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the next step, select the page builder and choose how you want to add chat-related components to the page: here, we set \u201cElementor\u201d and press the \u201cAdd components for me<\/strong>\u201d button. Then, on the Auto insertion<\/strong> page, we tick the \u201cInsert directly option into the page content\u201d option for the Direct messaging<\/strong> and Post messaging<\/strong> fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, press the \u201cInsert now<\/strong>\u201d button, and after redirection to the last wizard page, complete the configuration settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then, move to the WordPress Dashboard > Crocoblock > Messenger<\/em><\/strong> tab, scroll down the JetMessenger Settings<\/strong> page, and select the \u201cWooCommerce My Account Endpoint\u201d ROUTING<\/strong> in the Woo Orders<\/strong> section.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After that, scroll the page down and set the \u201cwoocommerce order details after order table\u201d BUTTON POSITION<\/strong> in the Woo Orders<\/strong> section.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, press the \u201cSave changes<\/strong>\u201d button at the end of the page.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Create a <\/strong>Chat by Product Context<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

First, open a single-page template of the product. Then, find the Start New Chat<\/strong> widget and add it where needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once added, configure the following settings. First, insert the text into the Label<\/strong> field or keep the default \u201cStart Chat\u201d one. Next, we set the \u201cCurrent Woo product\u201d Resolve user dynamically<\/strong> and \u201cDirect chat\u201d Content Type <\/strong>options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thus, the corresponding button will be added to the template.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Create a Post Chat<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Configure the settings: set the \u201cPost chats\u201d Content Type <\/strong>and \u201cCurrent post author\u201d Resolve user dynamically<\/strong> options. Then, save the post.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Build a Listing Page Chat<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This page is designed to collect and manage all messages received from the context-based chats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Open the static page intended to collect the chat data. In this case, it is the page specified while configuring the JetMessenger<\/em> settings on the Auto insertion<\/strong> page (the \u201cMy chats\u201d page, in this tutorial). Here, the My Chats<\/strong> widget is added by default.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since this widget is intended to show messages associated with only one type of content, we use the Tabs widget to arrange the messages and collect them via one dashboard. Here, we add this widget, insert the Titles of the tabs (the \u201cDirect,\u201d \u201cPosts,\u201d and \u201cProducts\u201d texts, in this case).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After that, drag-n-drop the My Chats<\/strong> widget into the tabs fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once the widget is added, set the corresponding Content type<\/strong> for each tab, e.g, the \u201cDirect\u201d option for the tab entitled \u201cDirect\u201d, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, to allow chatting, we add the Start New Chat<\/strong> widget and set the \u201cDirect chat\u201d Context Type <\/strong>and \u201cCurrent Woo product\u201d Resolve user dynamically<\/strong> options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, save the page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Test the Flow<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Messaging is not available while you build the corresponding pages and\/or templates, but only logged-in users can start chatting. If a user is not logged in, the \u201cPlease log in to start a chat\u201d text will be displayed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Therefore, we log out as the site\u2019s administrator and log in as another user.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Messaging on product pages<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

When users open the product page on the front end, they should press the \u201cStart Chat<\/strong>\u201d button to start the messaging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
