Click the \u201c<strong>Edit with Elementor<\/strong>\u201d button in order to continue. Use the one that is added by default. Thus, the <strong>Advanced Carousel<\/strong> widget enables you to display results from a <strong>Custom Query<\/strong> in a carousel list format, where only one item should be set as a template.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let&#8217;s take a look at the item&#8217;s settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Image<\/strong> \u2014 you can insert any image from the Media Library here. Additionally, if you use the <em>JetEngine<\/em> plugin or have <em>Elementor Pro<\/em>, you can dynamically add pictures using <a href=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/features\/dynamic-tags-overview\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Dynamic Tags<\/strong><\/a>. <strong>Dynamic Tags <\/strong>should be used when a <strong>Custom Query<\/strong> is used as the source for the carousel;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Content Type<\/strong> \u2014 here you choose how the item will look. The \u201cDefault\u201d means that you will set everything from scratch, and the \u201cTemplate\u201d allows you to use the pre-made template for the carousel items;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Item Title<\/strong> \u2014 the text you insert into this field will be shown right under the picture of the item;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Item Description<\/strong> \u2014 if you would like, you can add more information by typing it into this text area;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Item Link<\/strong> \u2014 the link you add here will direct the user to the product page or any other page on your website;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Open link in new window <\/strong>and <strong>Add nofollow<\/strong> \u2014 those two toggles affect the link. It makes the link open in a new window and adds the &#8220;nofollow&#8221; <strong>tag <\/strong>to it. Both of these features are useful for both the client and you, so it is highly recommended to enable them;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Item Button Text<\/strong> \u2014 if you leave this field empty, the item won&#8217;t contain a button. It provides a dropdown with available effects for the items to appear;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Images Size<\/strong> \u2014 this drop-down list helps you to define the size of the pictures;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Title HTML Tag<\/strong> \u2014 define the size and importance of the item&#8217;s title;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Lazy Load Images <\/strong>\u2014 the option enhances the page&#8217;s rendering performance. When this toggle is enabled, the carousel loads as the user scrolls the page and not when the page is opened;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Link Title<\/strong> \u2014 if enabled, this toggle adds the link to the title;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Equal Columns Height<\/strong> option \u2014 unifies the height of the columns, making their heights equal;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Fluid Columns Width<\/strong> function \u2014 allows the columns to have different widths depending on the size of the image;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Hide Slides Without Images<\/strong> \u2014 the toggle allows you to hide items without images;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Random Slides Order<\/strong> \u2014 to order your slides randomly, enable this toggle on;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Slides to Show<\/strong> \u2014 here, you can select the preferred number of slides to display. By the way, if you choose 1, it will appear as a slider, not a carousel;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Slides to Scroll<\/strong> dropdown \u2014 allows you to pick the number of slides to move left at a time.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When it comes to navigation, you have a choice between the <strong>Arrows<\/strong>, <strong>Dots<\/strong>, and <strong>Fraction<\/strong> navigation. You can apply <strong>Arrows <\/strong>and <strong>Dots <\/strong>simultaneously and choose icons for the <strong>Arrows<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/settings-tab-of-the-advanced-carousel.webp\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"640\" src=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/settings-tab-of-the-advanced-carousel-1024x640.webp\" alt=\"settings tab of the advanced carousel\" class=\"wp-image-48834\" srcset=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/settings-tab-of-the-advanced-carousel-1024x640.webp 1024w, https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/settings-tab-of-the-advanced-carousel-300x188.webp 300w, https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/settings-tab-of-the-advanced-carousel-768x480.webp 768w, https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/settings-tab-of-the-advanced-carousel-1536x960.webp 1536w, https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/settings-tab-of-the-advanced-carousel-600x375.webp 600w, https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/settings-tab-of-the-advanced-carousel.webp 1824w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Move on to the <strong><em>Content > Additional Options<\/em><\/strong> block.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Pause on Hover<\/strong> &#8211; if you want the autoplay stopped when the user hovers a mouse cursor over the item, turn this toggle on;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Autoplay<\/strong> \u2014 enable this option to have the items move automatically to the left.
