As you might know, there are lots of web hosting services, such as <strong>HostGator<\/strong>, <strong>SiteGround<\/strong>, <strong>GoDaddy<\/strong>, and much more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This specific tutorial is based on one of the most popular web hosts &#8211; <strong>Bluehost,<\/strong> to which you can subscribe using this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bluehost.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">link.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Generally speaking, the process of <strong>WordPress<\/strong> installation can be roughly divided into three steps. This allows to upload <strong>WordPress<\/strong> to the server, create a database, and actually install the <strong>WordPress CMS<\/strong>. Keep reading to learn about these steps in more detail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"uploading-wordpress-to-server\">Uploading WordPress to Server<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container\">\n<p>First, you need to download the latest version of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/download\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">WordPress<\/a><\/strong> to your hard drive. As a result, the compressed <strong>WordPress<\/strong> package will be downloaded to your computer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Next, navigate to your <strong>Bluehost<\/strong> server <strong>cPanel<\/strong> and open the <strong>File Manager<\/strong> tool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/Screenshot_15-1.png\" alt=\"navigate to bluehost server cPanel\">\n\n\n\n<p>Then select the <strong>Web Root<\/strong> directory and click the <strong>Submit<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/3-2.png\" alt=\"select the web root directory\">\n\n\n\n<p>You will be redirected to the <strong>File Manager<\/strong> panel, where you have to click the <strong>Upload<\/strong> button on the top bar in order to upload your <strong>WordPress<\/strong> archive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Click the <strong>Choose File<\/strong> button and select the files you want to upload. The progress bar in the bottom-right corner indicates how much time is left before the uploading is finished.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/crocoblock.com\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/5-2.png\" alt=\"upload file section\">\n\n\n\n<p>As soon as you see the <strong>Complete<\/strong> notification, you can go back to the file manager. Click the <strong>Go Back<\/strong> option to do so.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now extract the <strong>WordPress<\/strong> package. Check the file you&#8217;ve just uploaded and click the <strong>Extract<\/strong> button on the top bar. Save it somewhere safe in order to have access to it whenever it\u2019s necessary. Thereupon, fill in all the required fields and don\u2019t forget to save these credentials somewhere within your reach. After that, you proceed to the <strong>Success! <\/strong>screen by clicking the <strong>Install WordPress<\/strong>.
