JetSmartFilters is a plugin, which has different types of filters. The Date Range Filter<\/a> widget provides an easy way to filter the posts or products using the date they were added, or filter the events by the event date when it\u2019s supposed to take place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let\u2019s find out how to filter the publications by date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Set up Date of Publication<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Your date can be a date of a post or it can be a custom date from the Meta Field<\/strong> Date Type<\/strong>. In this way, if you want to display posts and sort them by a custom date, don\u2019t forget to check that you have added an appropriate field in the JetEngine<\/em><\/strong> > <\/em>Listing Grid<\/em><\/strong> > <\/em>Meta Boxes<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\"custom\n\n\n\n

Then, you should insert an appropriate date for each post in this field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\"date\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Create Date Range Filter<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

You need to go to the Smart Filters<\/strong> block at your Dashboard<\/strong> and click “Add New<\/strong>” button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\"add\n\n\n\n

Here you should add the name of a filter, inscribe the Filter Label<\/strong>, select the Filter Type<\/strong>. In our case, it\u2019s the Date Range Filter<\/strong>. Then, you filter your posts by Meta Date<\/strong> or Post Date<\/strong>. If you filter by Meta Date<\/strong> it\u2019s very important to specify Custom Field Key<\/strong>, which will display the values from the repeating posts fields.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Add Date Range Filter<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Now you can go to the Elementor<\/strong> editor. You should remember that there should be two widgets on your page: Listing Grid<\/strong><\/a> and Date Range Filter<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When you add the Date Range Filter<\/a>,<\/strong> you should select an appropriate filter type. Then, don\u2019t forget to choose for which widget you want to apply this filter type.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\"date\n\n\n\n

In Apply Type<\/strong> you select when the form for a range appears: in AJAX or after reloading of the page. You may inscribe your own button text or leave the same. It\u2019s also one more feature: you may display a filter label if you need it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
