Add Meta Fields to Taxonomy<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Dynamic Field<\/a> widget can display the taxonomy’s name, description, and post count. However, if you want to add any other additional data, like a single picture or image gallery, you will need to add corresponding meta fields<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Custom taxonomy<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

If you are creating a custom taxonomy, you can add meta fields right in the taxonomy editing window. Go to WordPress Dashboard > JetEngine > Taxonomies<\/em><\/strong> and either click the \u201cAdd New<\/strong>\u201d button or choose to edit the existing taxonomy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\"custom\n\n\n\n

The meta fields can be added in the Meta Fields<\/strong> section by hitting the \u201cNew Meta Field<\/strong>\u201d button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Don\u2019t forget to click the \u201cAdd\/Update Taxonomy<\/strong>\u201d button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\"taxonomy\n\n\n\n

Default taxonomy<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

If you are going to create a Listing <\/strong>for the default term, you can add it to a meta box.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Go to the WordPress Dashboard > JetEngine > Meta Boxes<\/em><\/strong> and press the \u201cAdd New<\/strong>\u201d button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\"meta\n\n\n\n

Open the General Settings<\/strong> block. In the Meta Box for<\/strong> drop-down menu, choose the \u201cTaxonomy\u201d option, and in the Enable for Taxonomies<\/strong> field, pick the needed default WordPress term.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\"meta\n\n\n\n

Here, the Meta Fields <\/strong>section is also present. All the needed fields can be added by pressing the \u201cNew Meta Field<\/strong>\u201d button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After completing data about meta fields, press the \u201cAdd\/Update Meta Box<\/strong>\u201d button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\"default\n\n\n

To proceed to further steps, make sure that the corresponding meta fields are completed in the needed taxonomies. You can do so by navigating to the taxonomy and pressing the \u201cEdit<\/strong>\u201d button next to every post.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n\"taxonomy\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Create Listing Template<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To start, go to the WordPress Dashboard > JetEngine > Listings<\/em><\/strong> to see the Listing Items page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The next step is to click the \u201cAdd New<\/strong>\u201d button at the top of the page. Then a pop-up will appear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\"listing\n\n\n\n

Choose the \u201cTerms\u201d option in the Listing source<\/strong> field and choose the needed taxonomy in the From taxonomy<\/strong> drop-down list. Then set the Listing item name<\/strong> and select the \u201cElementor\u201d editor as Listing view<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Afterward, press \u201cCreate Listing Item<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n\"setup\n\n\n\n

Adjust listing item settings<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

If needed, the general settings<\/a> of the listing can be altered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the lower-left corner of the screen, find the settings icon and click on it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the General Settings<\/strong> section, you can change the Title <\/strong>and Status<\/strong> of the listing item.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\"listing\n\n\n\n

In the Listing Settings<\/strong> section, you can change the Listing source<\/strong>, select another taxonomy in the From taxonomy<\/strong> field, change the Preview Width<\/strong>, <\/strong>and activate the Make listing item clickable<\/strong> switcher, which means adding a permalink to it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\"listing\n\n\n\n

Add dynamic widgets<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Now, you can add content to the listing. To pull the dynamic data, use dynamic widgets accessible with JetEngine<\/em>: Dynamic Field<\/strong><\/a>, Dynamic Image<\/strong><\/a>, or Dynamic Link<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For instance, the Dynamic Field<\/strong> widget can help you add any type of text information to the Listing<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

First of all, if you choose the \u201cPost\/Term\/User\/Object Data\u201d option in the Source <\/strong>drop-down list, you will be able to add the \u201cTerm name,\u201d \u201cTerm description,\u201d and \u201cPosts count.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n\"dynamic\n\n\n\n

With the \u201cMeta Data\u201d Source<\/strong>, <\/strong>you will be able to display the meta fields you have added to the taxonomy earlier. Then you can choose the field you created as the Meta Field<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\"meta\n\n\n\n

You can also add images and links to the listing with the help of Dynamic Image<\/strong> and Dynamic Link<\/strong> widgets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When you are done creating a Listing, hit the \u201cPublish<\/strong>\u201d button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\"dynamic\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Display Listing<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

When all is set and saved, you need to display the listing via the Listing Grid<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Find the page where you need a taxonomy grid and click on the \u201cEdit with Elementor<\/strong>\u201d button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\"edit\n\n\n\n

Drag and drop the Listing Grid<\/strong> widget to the page. In the Listing <\/strong>drop-down menu, choose the previously created one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\"taxonomy\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
