AJAX Search Query Feature in Elementor<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The AJAX Search<\/strong> widget can be found by entering its name in the Elementor search bar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After adding the AJAX Search<\/strong> widget to the page, one should open the AJAX Search Query<\/strong> settings. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Search by the current query<\/strong> toggle should be activated to search in the current query only.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The following Custom Search Results URL <\/strong>field allows pasting a URL that leads to the search results page. Mind that, by default, search results apply to all widgets with the same post type on the results page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, one can specify the specific Listing<\/strong> Grid<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s CSS ID in the Target Widget ID ( optional )<\/strong> field so the search results apply only to this Listing Grid<\/strong>. This field appears only if the Custom Search Results URL <\/strong>field is completed.<\/p>\n\n\n

This feature only works with the JetEngine\u2019s<\/i><\/a> Listing Grid<\/strong>, which uses the same post type as the one set in Ajax Search<\/strong>. Also, make sure that the CSS ID<\/strong> entered in the Advanced<\/strong> settings of the Listing Grid<\/strong> and the Target Widget ID ( optional )<\/strong> field value match.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

To search in posts, pages, WooCommerce<\/em> products, and CPT<\/strong>s<\/a> created with JetEngine<\/em>, the previously mentioned Search by the current query <\/strong>toggle should be deactivated, and <\/em>the search scope can be specified in the Source<\/strong><\/a> field. The search area will cover the entire website content if this field is empty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Search in custom fields <\/strong>field allows searching in the provided meta fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Enabling the Search in taxonomy terms<\/strong><\/a> toggle allows specifying the search area as categories, tags, formats, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This setting is connected with the Content <\/strong>section of the Search Form<\/strong> settings tab. Therefore, to provide the proper search, one should enable the Show<\/strong> Categories List<\/strong> <\/em>toggle from <\/strong>the Search Form<\/strong> tab and specify the area for the search (as categories, tags, etc.) from the drop-down menu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
