JetEngine <\/em>Custom Content Types<\/strong><\/a> (CCTs<\/strong>) allows you to create an optimized way to store the data in the WordPress database \u2014 it stores all the data in a single table.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With JetEngine <\/em>listings<\/strong><\/a>, you can output this data in the format of a list, grid, carousel, table, etc. The only limitation: out-of-the-box CCTs <\/strong>do not support single-page views, unlike WordPress’ native Custom Post Types<\/strong><\/a>.
This add-on removes this limitation. It allows you to select which CCTs <\/strong>should have a single page and how the page’s URL will look. Then, in the Listing Grid Item<\/strong><\/a> for the given CCT<\/strong>, you can add a link to this single page so users can visit it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Install the Add-on<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

First, download the ZIP file by clicking the green \u201cCode<\/strong>\u201d button from the GitHub link<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then, install the add-on as a new plugin and activate it. A new CCT Single Page<\/strong> tab will appear in the WordPress Dashboard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Create a Listing<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Following the How to Create Custom Content Type Listing Template in Elementor<\/strong><\/a> guide, create a simple listing template.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Add the Dynamic Link<\/strong><\/a> widget to the template. For the Source <\/strong>field, select the \u201cCCT Single Page Link\u201d option. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can also attach the link to the Dynamic Image<\/strong><\/a> widget. Enable the Linked Image<\/strong> toggle and select the \u201cCCT Single Page Link\u201d option in the Link Source<\/strong> dropdown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Click the \u201cPublish<\/strong>\u201d button once you are ready.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Set Up the CCT Single Page<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Proceed to WordPress Dashboard > CCT Single Page<\/em><\/strong> and click the \u201cAdd New<\/strong>\u201d button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Rewrite base <\/strong>input, define the part of the URL between your home url and the actual CCT <\/strong>slug (\u201cprocedures\u201d in this tutorial). Select the required CCT <\/strong>to add a single page in the Content Type<\/strong> field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Content template<\/strong> dropdown, choose the Listing Item template created earlier, which will serve as the main content template for the single page. You can use any builders supported by JetEngine <\/em>to create it. In the Slug field<\/strong> input, select the CCT <\/strong>field, which will be used to generate a slug of the current CCT <\/strong>item for the URL. You can use a specially defined field in your CCT <\/strong>that is already formatted for the URL. Or any other text field of your CCT<\/strong>. Plugin automatically formats it as a URL slug.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Page title pattern<\/strong> input, define the format of the page title, which will be generated for the current CCT <\/strong>item. The Meta description pattern<\/strong> is the format of the page’s meta description.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the last two fields, you can use any CCT <\/strong>fields in %field_name% format. For the Slug field<\/strong>, use plain field_name, without %.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For Page title pattern<\/strong> and Meta description pattern<\/strong>, you can use plain array fields \u2014 they will be imploded into the string.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Click the \u201cSave Settings<\/strong>\u201d button. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Add the Listing to a Page<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Proceed to the page where you need to place the Listing Grid<\/strong> widget and select the template you created earlier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
