Although this setup seems to check for the presence of content in the meta field, it does not operate correctly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please note that a different condition should be used to make Dynamic Visibility<\/strong><\/a> work properly.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As an example, we will try to hide the Dynamic Field<\/strong><\/a> widget when the \u201cAdditional Info\u201d Textarea <\/strong>meta field<\/a> is empty.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, let\u2019s proceed to the Dynamic Visibility<\/strong> section in the Advanced<\/strong> tab and turn on the Enable <\/strong>toggle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Visibility condition type <\/strong>field, we leave the \u201cShow element if condition met\u201d option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let\u2019s set up the \u0441ondition now. From the Condition <\/strong>dropdown, select the \u201cRegexp\u201d option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Click the \u201cDynamic Tag<\/strong><\/a>\u201d icon on the right side of the Field <\/strong>selector. Scroll down to the JetEngine <\/strong>section and choose the \u201cCustom Field\u201d <\/strong>option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a newly appeared pop-up, pick the meta field from the dropdown (the \u201cAdditional Info\u201d field in our case).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The last point \u2014 we put \u201c.+\u201d in the Value <\/strong>field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When working with JetEngine <\/em>features like Custom Queries<\/strong><\/a>, Dynamic Visibility Conditions<\/strong><\/a>, or Filters<\/strong><\/a>, you might come across the regular expression \u201c.+\u201d, where the \u201c.\u201d (dot) matches any single character, except line breaks, and \u201c+\u201d means one or more of the preceding element.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, \u201c.+\u201d matches any non-empty value \u2014 it\u2019s useful when you want to check if a field contains at least one character (not just spaces or an empty string).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We leave the Context <\/strong>and Data Type<\/strong> fields with their default settings.<\/p>\n\n\n

Please, be aware that the described setup works for the \u201cText<\/a>,\u201d \u201cTextarea,\u201d \u201cNumber<\/a>,\u201d \u201cCheckbox<\/a>,\u201d \u201cSelect<\/a>,\u201d and \u201cRadio<\/a>\u201d meta field types.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

When setting up Dynamic Visibility<\/strong> based on the \u201cCheckbox\u201d meta field\u2019s content, ensure that the Save as array<\/strong> option is enabled. If this field is completed in the Custom Post Type<\/strong><\/a> and the Save as array toggle<\/strong> is activated, the field will be reset, and the data will need to be filled in again.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, it\u2019s worth noting that the setup of the Dynamic Visibility<\/strong> feature will be different when the Switcher<\/strong><\/a> field is used as the source for the content.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this case, the \u201cSwitcher enabled\u201d Condition <\/strong>should be selected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Choose the needed custom field in the same way we described above.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now, let\u2019s see how it works on the front end. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We will check two posts: one has content added to the \u201cAdditional Info\u201d meta field and the \u201cCertified Doctor\u201d Switcher <\/strong>enabled, and the second post doesn\u2019t have any of that.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For this post, we see the Dynamic Fields<\/strong> display the data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
