  1. Copy the required code snippet to your clipboard.
  2. Navigate to WordPress Dashboard > Appearance > Theme File Editor.
  3. Click the functions.php tab to open the file.
  4. Paste the code snippet below the existing code in the Selected file content: area.
  5. Click the "Update File" page.

Example Use Case

Use this snippet whenever you experience unwanted escape slashes in text or textarea fields saved in JetEngine Custom Content Types. It ensures data is clean and correctly stored, improving content accuracy and display.
Applicable scenarios:

  • Content-heavy sites — blogs or portfolios where user-entered content must display cleanly.
  • Custom product or service listings — avoid formatting errors caused by slashes.
  • Multi-author sites — prevent data corruption in submitted content.
