Dynamic Data for Bricks Overview
This tutorial explains how to use the Bricks Dynamic Data to retrieve the data from the JetEngine custom fields on your WordPress website.
Before you start, check the tutorial requirements:
- Bricks theme installed and activated
- JetEngine plugin installed and activated
Bricks Dynamic Data is a feature that allows users to insert dynamic content into their designs. This means the content changes automatically based on the context.
Bricks dynamic tags are also compatible with the JetEngine plugin, which allows data to be retrieved from custom meta fields.
JetEngine Dynamic Data Usage
To use the dynamic data in Bricks, one can click the “bolt” icon in the settings panel of elements to reveal a list of options.
Dynamic data can also be used for the Dynamic Elements.
Bricks integration with the JetEngine plugin allows the dynamic data to be retrieved from the Custom Post Types (CPT), Meta Boxes (Custom fields), Taxonomies, Relations, and Options pages.

Current Object Field
The Current Object Field dynamic tag pulls and displays data from the current object. It looks as {je_current_object_field}, and one should specify the custom field name/key after “:” in the end, e.g.:
{je_current_object_field:_ID}
{je_current_object_field:age}
{je_current_object_field:name}
It can be used in such cases:
- To display properties of posts, users, terms, and comments;
- To collect the data from the SQL query and “Repeater” custom fields;
- To use specific data called in Query Builder depending on clause conditions.
That’s all about how to use the Bricks Dynamic Data to retrieve the data from the JetEngine custom fields on your WordPress website.
